1965 Ford F-100 4x4 and parts truck. 2 Trucks and parts.
1965 Ford F-100 Description
There are actually 2 trucks listed in this auction and both have clear titles...one from Virginia and the other from Tennessee. The four wheel drive is titled a 1965. When I got the truck, I sandblasted the frame, primed and painted it, changed oil and plugs, rebuilt the carb, replaced a rusty cab mount, replaced front wheel bearings in the ball joints, replaced rear springs, u-bolts, bearings and seals along with the ring gear. The previous owner had swapped rear axles and neglected to check if the ring gear matched. It didn't and he wore out the bearing on the right side. I put it back to match the front and got everything timed. I also put tubes in all the tires, sanded down and repainted the truck to use as a worktruck at the sawmill and to haul firewood. I also replaced the radiator with a new one at a hundred and eighty five dollars. I used it once on the road with a dealer tag to help a friend move. The transmission worked well as did the engine and drive train but its been parked this winter. The clutch came out and I haven't been able to get it fixed. The choke cable also needs adjustment to make it idle. I've had to prime the carb to get it to crank lately. My ex-son in law was supposed to help me fix this truck entirely but he and my daughter divorced and he bailed on me before the work was done. No rear bumber or braces but I do have the tailgate. I cut out sections of rust and he was supposed to patch them with metal but didn't. I have the wiper blades but wipers don't work. Don't know if its the switch or the motor. All lights work. I replaced all wiring, belts, hoses, fuel and brake lines. Get the clutch fixed and the choke adjusted and this truck runs great. I've hauled a lot of wood with it. The wheels also need balancing. There are a couple of rusty streaks on the roof where the ex-son in law didn't get it smooth and the bondo cracked. Someone earlier worked on the truck and fixed it with metal and fiberglass around the cab but left it a little rough around the back. I smoothed it up as much as I could. The dark you see in the pics isn't rust...it's dirt. The other truck is a '64 2 wheel drive with an in line 6 cylinder engine that runs. Glass, doors and most of cab is good. Floor boards rusted but I have 2 new floor pans. I changed oil in the engine when I bought it and it ran great but I needed the parts from that truck for the 4 wheel drive one. Never drove that one but went to crank it while it was in gear once and it rolled forward. Have numerous parts that go with both including 2 spare 16 inch tires and wheels for the 4 wheel drive, 3 fenders, a spare radiator support, rear glass, front header panel, spare 64 aluminum grill with headlight bezels, a spare 66 ford steel grille with headlight bezels, tail lights, shifters, 2 intakes, full set of chrome trim for the windshield, numerous other parts. Both will have to be hauled. I love the 4 wheel drive truck and hate to sell it but I'm moving and can't take it with me. My loss is your gain. Starting the bidding low for what this truck is and with the other one and all the parts, its a good find as it's getting harder to get these trucks and parts. $500.00 paypal deposit at 24 hrs end of auction. Balance paid when buyer picks up vehicles.
