1931 Ford Model A Sport Coupe Description

Up for your consideration is a stunning 1931 Ford Model A Sports Coupe. This is a rarer model for the Midwest due to the soft-top and wide open back window which gave the illusion yet breezy enjoyment of a convertible. This car was fully restored in the 1990s and is a very handsome two-toned gray and black color. The amateur paint isn't perfect, has some orange peeling in spots and some imperfections. The interior is a LeBaron Bonney wool correct for the period and the roof was fully redone at that time as well. Has the great adjustable front seat as well to move back and forth and has more head-room than any other Model A. This car is perfect for the tallest drivers.

The powerful 4-cylinder Ford engine is original to this car and starts up every time on two turns of the starter and can easily do 50mph on an open road. The brakes are good and hand-brake holds. The transmission is smooth, quiet, shifts easily and can start off in 2nd and will almost take off in 3rd, so it is a very tight and well-built unit, perfect for carefree and relaxed driving. Engine comes with a winter heater-manifold cover to warm the car for cold weather drives.

The car has five (5) newer Firestone whitewall tires and has the very desirable Rumble Seat for 4 passengers total. Unlike other cars, this A doesn't drip and mark its territory, it is a clean old car. The generator fully charges the battery and all lights work for night driving, has a turn signal set that works through the sidelights and taillights for better safety. Good aoogah horn and even the speedo works so you'll always know your speed. Three videos on Youtube are available: 1931 Chochole1 and 1931 Chocole2 and 1931 Chochole3. I am only selling to buy a safer car for the fast roads and nutty drivers around me.

A super nice solid well-maintained driver car. Has normal scratches, scuffs and nicks from the road, one metal tear in the front right fender and a tiny bit of bubbling along the left bottom of the body, but this car will be great for another 85 years of fun and motoring! Cash or bank wire for payment before car is moved. US buyers only please. Clear title and comes with a car-show plaque, and a trophy it has won, for display. $500 deposit required within 24hours. Please ask questions before bidding. Green 1931 Illinois plates do not go with the car, sorry. Thanks for looking!
