1952 Ford Other Pickups Mercury M1 Description

This is a 1952 Mercury M1 which is the Canadian only version of a Ford F1. This truck had previously been owned by the same family its entire existence (undocumented). Because the original flathead engine became cracked, like so many Flatheads have, the truck was then parked away in a machinery quonset for many years prior to my purchasing of it. This truck is a very solid example of a Canadian only produced 1952 Mercury 1/2 ton. It is all completely original sheet metal with no body fillers, no cheap fiberglass body parts, and nothing hiding under a paint job. Obviously as the description patina would suggest dings, scratches and surface rust do appear on this truck, but that is also what makes it cool and unique. Even the bed wood is believed to be original.
This was a complete off the frame nut and bolt rebuild. Everything on this truck has been redone with the exception of preserving the original patina on the exterior. There is a ton of powder coating of the chassis/suspension, drive line (including the transmission), and various other parts. The cab was removed and the interior, fire wall, cab underside and hood underside were all sandblasted or sanded and repainted. Any and all seals, rubbers, cab mounts etc. were replaced.
Some of the features include:
-Full 12 volt conversion with new wiring bumper to bumper.
-A completely freshly rebuilt Ford 239 ci Flathead V8. Built by a very reputable local machinist (Power Tech Engines) This engine was balanced to within 1 gram and runs exceptionally smooth. There is less than 500 miles on this engine. The engine was machined to have the bigger 1.6" valve along with adjustable lifters. Currently it is running with a mild cam. Videos of a couple of other Flathead engines built by Power Tech Engines can be viewed here:

I currently have this truck insured and registered (Equivalent of a title) in Alberta. I have put on less than 500 mile in order to make sure everything is dialed into where it should be. A complete overall inspection and complete alignment of the entire truck has been completed. Everything works great. There is nothing that needs to be done to this truck in order for someone to take it and enjoy it. Foreign bidders please be well versed in your import requirements prior to bidding.
The finished product speaks to the great amount of time and money that was put into this truck. This truck drives excellent and runs outstanding. This is a fresh build and my buy it now price does not cover the cost of this project. The reserve is set below the buy it now price. I am extremely satisfied with the quality of this truck, but welcome anyone with any questions to please contact me.
