This Ranchero is one of The Rarest examples we have seen. Not many 72 GT's were made and very few of those have survived. This one has an excellent combination of options that really make it stand out. The car was fitted with an original Ram Air System that does not appear on the Marti Report. We installed a factory correct 351CJ air cleaner assembly back on the car. The Ram Air System is available with the car for an additional $3,000. They typically sell for $4,000 when and if you ever see them. Approximately 60 cars (total for 1972) were reported made with this option.

This car presents very well. The restoration is older, but well kept. There are some bubbles on the lower doors and quarters typical of the breed but the car is quite solid with excellent floors. The paint has a very deep gloss and the panels line up well. The blue stripes are decals (as factory) and the drivers front fender portion has some peeling. A new stripe kit is included with the car. The chrome and bright trim were refinished for the restoration and are in excellent condition.

Inside the upholstery is largely original. The front bucket seats and floor console are factory Ford units that were added. The seats are quite comfortable but do show some minor wear. This Ranchero has the 'Instrumentation Group' consisting of a tachometer and full gauge package.

Under the hood the 351 Cobra Jet engine has been nicely detailed. The CJ's had the large port 351 Cleveland cylinder heads, larger camshafts, special oil pans and several other CJ specific components to make up for the dip in compression brought on by emission standards. The engine runs excellent and has impressive power.

The 4 speed transmission and factory Hurst Shift Linkage are still in place and work well.

Receipts are provided for the rebuild of the 9" Differential. New 3.50 ratio gears were usedand a Traction Lok differential was installed.

The Magnum 500 Wheels are in great shape and are wrapped in BF Goodrich Radial T/A's. They fit well and look great!
