1957 Ford Custom 300 Description

Please call 765-252-9914 John to VIEW this fabulous Ford. You will NOT be disappointed. Check my Ebay feedback, we are straight shooters and this car is amazing. This car came out of the Georgia area......NO RUST EVER, find another one....
We are a small body/mechanical shop in the heart of Indiana. We have been working on, rebuilding, restoring classic American muscle cars for 35 years. We do this as a hobby because we love cars. Today we are listing a few that we have completed and are ready for their new homes.
Up for auction today is one of the coolest little cars we have had in a long time. The rare smaller version of the famous 1957 Ford Fairlane 500, the custom 300. This is the fanciest version of the 300 having the cool body side moldings. This car has the optional heater and a few other goodies not normally seen on these. This car sits on a 2" shorter chassis that its big brother the Fairlane and that makes the car look "right" in my opinion.
Whoever ordered this car new had a little "race" in their blood. This car is Factory equipped with the 312 Thunderbird special engine and a factory 9" Ford rear end to go along with the 3 speed manual trans. This car is a blast to drive. It is VERY tight, rides and drives quiet and solid. The shifter is tight, all is as is should be.
We got this car pretty much as you see it, with the following exceptions: We added a side rear view mirror, we also added a vintage looking but modern stereo with all new speakers. There was NO cutting the dash, these units fit right where the factory radio goes, BLUETOOTH! This car did come equipped with a Factory AM radio and it will go along with the car when it sells. We also changed the charging system over from the original generator system to an alternator for added security while driving this amazing antique. The kick panels were a little shabby and so we replaced those as well in the interior.
A very nice sounding dual exhaust with new chrome tips make the car sound amazing. It is also running a nice set of 15" "steelie" wheels with the original hub caps that give the car a more solid fell while driving!
There are a few spots here and there on the body, a few dings, a few scratches, she is an older restoration. But NO rust ever? On a 57? Wow! This is a super rare, super clean, neat little car that just turns every head going down the road.
