1971 Ford LTD Factory 429 360hp Super Rare Buckets & Console. Very Nice Driver
1971 Ford Other Description
Very rare 1971 LTD with matching number 429 4 barrel. The car runs and drive excellent and needs nothing. I have been through the entire car, this was going to be a keeper until I bought another car, which I am going all out on. I am a professional car restorer for over 30 years, (www.classiccarrestorationllc.com) this was a personal car, all work done to the highest standard, all work / maintenance done was to make the car a dependable safe driver, with an original appearance. The list is long and I am going to try and get to everything. The vehicle has a little over 51,000 miles, which I preformed a compression test, absolutely no issues. I did pull the engine because about every gasket leaked. At that time a new timing chain, water pump, etc. was installed. I took the C6 trans in to a shop I use and had a pro-rebuild with new convertor and shift kit. The factory 9" rear end was drained and cleaned, new seals and fluid, still has factory 3.25 Traction Lok. All brakes, calipers, rotors, hardware is all new. New fuel tank and sender. All tune up items new. Including factory distributor with Pertronix Ignitor III added (electronic with rev. limiter) and matching coil. Factory carb. rebuilt and works excellent. I had the exhaust manifolds blasted and coated, new dual exhaust, sounds great, nice rumble, but to the quiet side. New u joints, new kyb gas shocks, new suspension bushings, ball joints, belts, hoses, it just goes on and on. It took MANY hours to get this work done and done right! The engine has the DOVE-C heads...again it runs great. The console and horseshoe shifter add to the experience. The interior is real clean and matches a car with these miles. No cracks in dash, no seat rips, console perfect, carpet is original. Just a real clean unabused interior. The rear seat appears to have not been used, until I got the car.Whoever ordered the car had straight line go fast driving in mind. Hardly any options, except performance oriented. See Marti report. The body is in good shape and shines but has old appearance, perfect driver quality. Floors and frame solid. The car has an older repaint, guessing in 80's but they did the jambs, under the deck lid, hood edges, it was NOT a cheap quicky job. It was a color change, original color was a light silver green.I also put on new 15x7 steel wheels and had them powder coated. There's much more just can't remember it all. If questions call me (616) 897-6503.The car is sold as is and where is. Buyer is responsible for any shipping. Please pick up in a reasonable amount of time, or we can discuss. If someone requires shipping, I understand the process and will make myself available, when needed. I require a $500 deposit via paypal immediately after auction ends. The car needs to be paid for in cash, if in person, or bank wire transfer. PLEASE check my feedback. Good luck bidding on this rare car. I still drive the car miles might change but it's all local stuff.Mustang, Cougar, Shelby, Cobra Jet, Super Cobra Jet, Mach 1, Torino, GT, Galaxie, Fastback, CJ, SCJ, Thunderjet, Boss.
