1983 Ford Mustang Description

Vehicle Overview
1993 MUSTANG COBRA ROAD RACE CAR,SCCA,5.8L MOTOR,NO EXPENSE SPARED!!!

Up for sale is my beloved Mustang race car. I have owned it for over 15 years and tracked it many times but its time to downsize my car collection so Its time to let it be enjoyed by someone else. This car was was a very competitive NASA American Iron Extreme car when i purchased it and added some basic upgrades to just use for open track days.
The car itself is a 1983 Mustang that I had upgraded to look like a 1993 Cobra with a complete Cervini ground effects kit and custom made functional ram air hood. I spent over $7,000 on the paint and body alone had the entire car repainted and it happens to look fantastic and used it as a display vehicle in my car dealership for years. It does have a clean Arizona title in my name but doubt this car will ever be driven on the street again.
This Mustang is powered by a is a Ford Motorsport crate engine that was fairly fresh to the car when I purchased it. It is a 351/385 HP that I had dyno tuned and puts out 340HP to the tires on a conservative dyno, the transmission is a world class t5 5 speed and it has a 9 inch Ford rearend that feels like either 3:55 or 3:73 gears.
I upgraded the wheels to 5 lug 17x9 Chrome Cobra R replicas to fit larger 6 piston Wilwood brakes I also had installed. It has rear disc brakes as well and a brake proportioning valve next to the driver seat for on the fly adjustments. I cant emphasize enough how well of a sorted out race car this is and thousands of hours have been spent on it over the years to get it perfedctly dialed in. In the 15 years I have had it, I probably tracked it 15-20 times and my only issue ever was a alternator that went bad and a power steering pump that blew the seals. Both repairs were under $100 and that is the beauty of a car like this that is fairly indestructible with cheap readily available replacement parts. I have not even burned thru a set of brake pads yet as the car is so well balanced and super easy to trail brake and toss into corners.
The suspension has every trick piece made for a fox body that includes a complete tubular front end, panhard rod, frame connectors, castor/camber plates. With the complete rollcage inside the car, this Mustang is very rigid and tight. The interior is all business and is safe and legal for any track event you want to bring it to.
Its such a good loking that everyone always asks if it is street legal and the answer is no. It has no doors windows, plastic quarter windowes, no headlights and is pretty much a sheet metal interior. It was too loud when I purchased it so had a trick exhaust system made for it where the headers go into an X-pipe and then into a 2 in 2 out nascar style muffler with pipes coming out the right side in front of the rear wheel. It does happen to sound really, really good now.
I just had the car pulled out of my warehouse, rebuilt the carburator and replaced the braided fuel lines from the fuel cell to the motor, replaced both fuel pumps(redundant in case one fails) and it runs fantstic. It realisticlly just needs a fresh set of sticky tires and should be ready to go to the track. The best part of this car was that it was always really easy to get ready for a track event and is a super low maintenance and reliable car. It has a full fire supression system and is due for a recharge.
