Here is a 1972 Mustang Mach 1, 351 Cobra Jet, 4 speed and ram air. It has deluxe interior and factory gauge package with tach. It is a true 05 vin Mach 1. Car was partially restored about 7 years ago, at which time it was painted and enginewas rebuilt. It has less than 5,000 few miles since restoration.

Very nice looking paint and body, good quality basecoat/clearcoat in Viper Blue Metalic. Paint has a nice shine and was well done.Very straight body with no dents or dings that I can find.Very straight looking down the sides and nice gaps. There are numerous minor scratches as you would expect from a car that was painted 7 years ago. Solid body with no visible rust. Very solid quarters, doors, cowl, torque boxes, frame rails, shock towers andfloors. There is a section of the passenger front floor and the rear driver floor that was replaced long ago and the repairs are functional but would need to be redone if you want a show car. Personally I would leave it the way it is unless you can do the work yourself since it functions just fine and nobody every sees it. No other signs of rust or previous rust repair. There are two small bubbles in the paintin the trunklid. Hood trim was installed with 3 screws and anyone other than a Mustang enthusiast doesn’t think anything of it. I can include a replacement hood moulding that you can have painted if you would like. They could probably also be filled with touchup paint and not be too noticeable. It has correct urethane front bumper that has some minor pant imperfections. Grill has a broken section around the driver’s side headlight that is noticeable upon close inspection. Rear valance has correct exhaust cutoutsfor a Cobra Jet car. 15x7 Magnums in front and 15x8 Magnums in the rear fill out the wheel wells nicely and look really good. One wheel has some slight pitting but the others look like new. Rear tires are a bit worn, front tires are in good shape. Glass isgood with a couple typical very small nicks in the windshield.

Mostly original deluxe black interior is still in pretty nice condition and is very presentable. Headliner, dash, carpet, door panels, rear interior quarters and rear package tray are all nice. Seats do show some wear and are splittingat a few seams and have a tear on the driver’s seat side bolster. Rear sail panels have come undone at the top and need to be reattached at the edge of the rear window. It is all stock other than an older aftermarket stereo but there are no speakers installedin the rear package tray at this time. Still has a factory shifter with reverse lockout. Factory tach and gauges work properly.

The 351 Cobra Jet was rebuilt at the time the car was painted and has very low miles. It runs good with no smoke, knocks or ticks. Mostly stock engine with correct exhaust manifolds and a close to stock cam. It does have an Edelbrock intake manifold and Holley carb. 4 speed works well and the clutch is very smooth. Drives straight.

This car started life as a Lime Green Metallic Mach 1 with a 302, 3 speed manual and deluxe interior. It now has all the good stuff but is really meant to be a driver and not a show car where some guy that drove to the show in his Priusis going to tell you it’s “that’s not an original CJ car.” It now has the correct 351 Cobra Jet with 4V heads, correct toploader with shifter and ram air. The ram air base is original and the hood plenum is reproduction. This is a nice looking car that isfun to drive and can be enjoyed as is without too much worry. If it was an original 351CJ 4spd ram air it would obviously be much more expensive as well.

International buyers are welcome. Car is sold as is where is with no warranty expressed or implied. It is available for inspection by appointment only. I have done my best to describe it accurately but please understand that this is a 47year old car that is not new and has not been fully restored. I have sold quite a few cars on ebay and try very hard to describe them accurately and to make sure potential buyers have any information I would want as a buyer. In fairness to all bidders I will not disclose the reserve. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time, however, my intention is to let the auction run its course unless someone hits the buy-it-now. Reserve is less than buy it now but everybody wants to know what it will take to end theauction so I put a buy it now on there to avoid that question and if this car is exactly what you want and you don’t want to risk losing it then you have an option. Please make sure you have funds available and have gotten permission from your wife, mom orwhomever you need permission from before bidding. Full payment must be made within 5 days of auction end and vehicle must be picked up within 21 days of auction end unless prior arrangements are made. Payment by cash or wire transfer only. Shipping is theresponsibility of the buyer but I will help however I can. Bidders with a feedback rating of less than 10 must contact me prior to bidding or I will cancel your bid.
