1965 Ford Fairlane Station wagon Description

1965 Fairlane wagon still wearing all of its original paint. No rust or body damage. Car came out of South Georgia. I built this car about 5 years ago to take in the 2014 Hot rod power tour. Work stuff came up and never made it. It has taken my family on several trips to the mountains and one trip to Florida. We have put just over 16000 miles on it. I installed a 5.0 HO removed from a 1992 fox body Mustang with only 47k. Ron Francis wiring harness. Aluminum radiator with electric fan. Fan has a coolant switch to come on when needed. The transmission is a rebuilt thick case C4. Has 2014 Mustang GT front rotors and calipers. Car is lowered 3 inches in front with Detroit coil springs. Rear is dropped 2 inches and has air shock to level when loaded down. The AC is all hosed and wired up, converted to 134 but has never been charged. New carpet was installed and front seat reupholstered. Please call or text with interest. I can text more pics or videos if needed. 770-596-2112I plan to list locally so auction could end at any time.

To answer a few of the questions I have had. It has a set of Sanderson shorty block hugger headers along with full dual custom exhaust and flowmaster mufflers with a crossover. They turn down just behind the rear wheels. Sound just like a early 90's foxbody with flowmasters. The computer is hidden under the dash behind the ac.. you can see the reflection off the ac if the check engine light were to ever come on. The car does have the fold up third seat to make it an 8 passenger but there is no cushions. I made some for my 63 squire it was pretty easy. The fuel tank was cleaned and coated. I did not modify the tank, the return was added to the fuel sending unit. It has a low pressure fuel pump which supplies a quart size filter then the high pressure pump pulls from it. In doing it this way you never have a fuel starvation issue when turning corners due to lack of baffles in the tank. Please let me know if I can answer any othe questions.

To answer a couple more questions... The original AM radio does work. I have an FM Converter mounted under dash which allows you to play FM radio. The front seat does have the factory seatbelts but rear seat has never had them(you can get them from Dennis Carpenter). The rear window is power and works from a switch on the dash or a key on the tailgate. The Fuel Gauge works intermittently. I have tested it at the sender and the gauge functions as it should. I believe something in the sender is failing. Can be bought at most parts warehouses.
