1968 Ford Fairlane Description

FOR SALE
1968 Ford Fairlane Station Wagon. (The shaggin' wagon)

Although it was a born as a base Granny package vehicle (6 cyl, C4, drum brakes), it now sports a warmed over 460 V8 equipped with a cam, 429CJ heads, Weiand manifold, Edelbrock carb and MSD ignition.
Of course, you can't just build the motor, you need to provide a good supporting cast. Therefore the transmission has been upgraded to a beefy C6, and the base 8" rear end swapped in favor of the world class Ford 9". We chose 3:08 gears for maximum cruising comfort. The body is straight and true, the frame is clean with no sign of rust. A few very minor bubbles exist, (see pix) but the rest of the period correct Wimbledon White with "C" stripes really give this wagon a clean look.
The interior is all original. Thats right boys and girls, the carpet, seats and headliner are the original article. The headliner has two minor tears, but a brand new in box replacement goes with the car. All gauges and electrical work.
The car is a fun driver, and gets more positive comments than ANYTHING else i've driven. A fun, cool, old school surf hot rod!
A clean and clear title. We can arrange transport anywhere.
Station wagons are the "next thing" in the collector car market as they are mostly still affordable. But finding clean examples like this 1968 Ford Fairlane are getting harder, and harder to locate. Contact us with any questions you have.
