1937 ford truck rat rod hot rod project
1937 Ford Other Pickups Description
Heres the story behind the little truck. Owned the truck for about 10 years now, its an original arizona small town truck which means pretty much zero rust other than a small section behind the cab. Truck ran and drove for years as a rat rod until we decided to strip it down and go through it with the goal of turning it into a pristine hot rod. Long story short, our transport business grew very well and I now tend to devote my time to redoing semis rather than hot rods now. Basically I just lost interest in the little truck, which will be to the benefit of the buyer. I have around 25+ thousand tied up in it but am looking to cover my last years worth of parts expenses. The last thing to finish off the truck would be to assemble it, wire it, run the air system, fuel system, and alter any needed adjustments on the truck. Heres what shes got in it:
New 302 5.0 liter motor bored out to 347 with scat pack stroker kit, milodon oil pump, splash pan, oil pan, complete edelbrock top end, aluminum heads, intake, cam, roller rockers, carb, breather, sanderson headers, march performance pulley kit, msd distributor kit, motor assembled with all apr bolts
Transmission just rebuilt by local shop, 4 speed with new torque converter, shift kit installed
Mustang front end installed with disk brakes, rack and pinion power steering, air bags etc.
Rear end is standard 9 inch, 6 link control kit, drum brakes, air bags, non posi trac
Fuel system is electronic with a new bob drake tank hidden underneath the bed of the truck toward the rear.
Truck bed was completely redone by professional body shop, cost around 5-6k just into the bed, shot flat black but will need to be resprayed because its sat out in the arizona sun for a year or two, paint slightly faded, bed liner cracking.
Cab very straight aside from rust mark toward the rear of it by the drive line, chop mark on one side needs to be blended better.
Truck is a 1937 but has a 1935 grill for those who notice.
Truck is titled as a 1937 and is clear arizona title, not branded in any way.
Sure the truck has tons more little items ive forgotten but anyone is welcome to come and look her over.
