1978 Ford Fairmont Description

This Fairmont is being offered as a "roller", as in for sale WITHOUT the engine. The body is about as straight & rust free as they come & still wears the original paint! The car is set-up for the BBF(460) & C4 transmission. The front " K member" & lower control arms are AJE brandpieces, as is themanualsteering rack & pinion. The master cylinder has been converted to a "manual" set-up with the correct firewall adapter.The trans is a Broader Performance builtpiecewith "trans-brake"/reversemanualvalve body. The rear-end is a Quick Performance 9" housing with 35 spline axles, 11" drum brakes, Strange Engineering "N Case", 3.89 gears, & full spool. The rear suspension includes parts from UPR(upper & lower control arms), Strange (adjustable shocks), & Moroso(coil springs). The fuel pump is a MagnaFuel brand 250gph pump/filter combo & regulator. The ignition system is a MSD digital 6AL & Blaster coil. The exhaust system is 3.5" diameter with an "X Pipe" & Borla XR1 mufflers exiting before the rear-end housing. This car with a mild 460 has gone 10.80s in street trim, without use of the transbrake(track conditionswarrantedNOT using the "brake").
