GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this 1948 Ford F1 for your consideration. Power is produced by a V8 engine. The engine is mated to a manual transmission which sends power to the rear wheels. Mechanically this truck is sound as it starts, runs, and drives without any issues. Restored 20+ years ago, the paint on the truck still shines bright today. The two-tone green over black paint looks spectacular and runs all of the way into the cabin.... There are very few classic cars who come through our doors with this quality of paint. The interior is just as clean as the exterior and looks almost new. For being over 70 years old the quality of the truck is unmatched. The gauges all work and look as if they could be new. Launched in 1948, the legendary Ford F-series began as a replacement for the previous car-based pickups. For the first time, Ford was building pickups on a dedicated truck platform creating a much better workhorse than previously available. Ford's 1st F-series generation lasted from the 1948-1952 model years but significantly changed in appearance from year to year making each version unique and pretty rare. While trucks sold well, most were obviously used work heavy workloads leaving few surviving examples in excellent condition.
