1935 Ford Tudor Sedan
1935 Ford Deluxe Description
This vehicle is being relisted because of an inaccuracy in the previous listing. With the help of an EFV8 member, and a closer inspection by my guys in the shop, although the paint is the proper color, it has been restored at some point in the past, actual date unknown. Also, because of the excellent condition of the interior, it is presumed that this too was redone at the same time. The drive train is certainly all original and the odometer correct, to the best of our knowledge, but this clarification was necessary. The original story is that a man in his 90's collected cars and this one he bought early on, in 1941, from the original owner. So, it is a two owner car prior to me. It has been warehoused the last couple of years. Prior to that, it was on display in a Buffalo, NY restaurant for many years. It's my opinion, though pure speculation, that the man restored this car prior to putting it on display. Before that, I was told, it was always housed with the rest of his cars. He's selling them off, and a Rolls Royce went the same week I picked up this car earlier this year. This week, my crew is going through the car doing a thorough clean up. They are also going through and checking the engine, which runs beautifully. If you look closely at the frontal picture, there are two holes near the lights. These at one point held two horns that can be replaced for 323.00 from Joe's Antique Auto--exact replicas. Whether I do or not depends in some part on the auction. Also, the only thing on the interior I think needs replacement is the carpeting, though I'm waiting on the progress from the crew in Daytona to be sure. As to price, know that entering retirement soon, this will be my raison d'etre, so I'm certainly not desperate to sell the car. If you're looking for a steal, I'm afraid this isn't the car. Having said that, I believe that a sale price that allows the next owner to have some equity is a fair deal. As I said in the previous listing, a 100 pt. Concours version could fetch 50 or 60k. Most in this condition, as you know, end up selling in the twenties. If someone contacts me with a fair offer, it's theirs. If not, the car will become a mistress. For those reasons, please don't bid if you're not interested in owning this car. A deposit is a sale, therefore, non-refundable. Feel free to contact me at nine eight five, three seven seven, five four zero nine. Good luck.
