Here is a beautiful 40 Ford, expertly and tastefully modified by my good friend Bob. Bob is a master welder/fabricator with over 50 years hot rodding experience in the same location, Elco Welding in Venice, CA. He's a local legend, his work is second to none and highly sought after. That said, I bought the car myself and I’m the fourth owner of this solid, straight, rust free Coupe. It has spent its entire life in the Los Angeles area. Originally green, it has an older black paint job that has just the right patina. No dents, no rust, just chips and scuffs from regular use. The interior is an older reupholster, no rips, nice headliner. It could use carpet. The trunk is original and in great shape. New window seals on original glass. The dash is original, everything works. Bob rewired the car and added gauges below the dash, by the passenger door post.Under the hood is where things get interesting. Bob expertly clearanced the firewall to accommodate a fresh, .030 over, 1966 Buick 425 with a mild cam, and a QuadraJet. Hand built fender well headers exit into dual mufflers below the floorboards. The transmission is a Tremac five speed driving a Ford nine inch posi-traction rear with 3.50 gears.Power steering, disc brakes on stock front axle, with the wish bone unsplit! New tires. The car fires right up and sounds great. Loads of torque, the car cruises at 80 plus with just a hint of throttle.Ready to drive anywhere, built to perform, well sorted with plenty of credibility. Any questions, give me a call-Chris-310-722-6916. I’ve enjoyed the car for four years, racing it at the Antique Nationals, it’s dialed in, turn key and fun!We will gladly assist with shipping anywhere in the world, at buyers expense. |
