Clean Vintage Pick Up! Steel Body w/ Chevy 350 V8, 4 Spd Manual, Pretty Colors!
1935 Ford Other Pickups Description
This 1935 Ford ½ Ton Pickup is a seriously impressive vintage hauler. It's beautifully finished, of course, but the longer you look, the more details you'll find to delight the eye. That's the true hallmark of a quality rod, and this one delivers in more than one way, including a slick paint job, a custom interior, and a powerful 350 V8 that's matched to a quick-shifting 4-speed manual transmission. Take a closer look, this is a hot little streetrod pickup with a lot of curb appeal.
The body is all-steel, which is of course a huge plus over any fiberglass counterparts, and that full-fendered look hits all the right notes to enthusiasts from both the old school and new. The overall execution has been completed very nicely, and you'll note how well it fits together, with doors that fit flush and no worries about previous repairs or damage coming back to haunt you. Not many miles have been put on this truck since it was built, as it really only left the garage to be shown off, but it does show some signs of use and age. Thankfully, it still shows well, turning heads and attracting a lot attention everywhere it goes. The deep Cinnamon Red paint lets the shape do most of the talking, working in harmony instead of as a solo. The black on the running boards accents some of the truck's more noteworthy details, and the stylized Ford emblems on the hood are those wonderful touches that I mentioned earlier. There's no chopped roof, nothing is shaved off, and this little pickup retains original pieces like the waterfall grille and original headlights to keep the vintage look. Chrome is at a minimum, and we really like that because it lets the finish do most of the talking, although chrome bumper fore and aft and bright trim around the grille and windshield do provide a nice contrast to the classic finish. In the bed you'll find more steel that's been painted to match the running boards, putting a neat twist on an old favorite.
A custom upholstered bench works well inside and the combination of Cinnamon and Beige high-grade vinyl makes it feel far more upscale than just one or the other would, and the pattern is continued on the door panels for a beautifully finished look. All the soft parts were custom stitched for just this truck, including the custom headliner (check out the stallion head!) that has an integrated panel for a Pioneer AM/FM/CD player, and neat-fitting floor mats that protect the plush beige carpets. The dash was nicely finished, painted to match the body and filled with black-faced gauges (Stewart Warner plus an AutoMeter speedometer), along with a custom panel for the R134a A/C just below that was upholstered in beige vinyl to match the theme inside. Within an easy arm's reach is the cue-ball topped shifter for the 4-speed manual transmission below, and the LeCarra leather-wrapped steering wheel ahead of the driver is mounted on a tilt column and is a great comfort to grip. Built for comfort and easily capable of long-distance hauls, they didn't forget to also make it beautiful inside.
For reliability and performance, it's hard to beat a 350 V8 small-block powerplant. Built with a mild cam and topped with an Edelbrock intake and 4-barrel carburetor, it fits neatly under the Ford's pointed hood and is dressed up with a chrome air cleaner, finned Edelbrock valve covers, block-hugger headers tucked in tight to the engine, and a few shiny bits that tie the whole truck together quite nicely. The firewall was custom made to accommodate the Chevy's rear-mounted distributor, with form following function in a very trick way, and there's massive cooling available from the radiator up front. It's backed by the aforementioned 4-speed manual transmission and a capable rear end, and the entire undercarriage was nicely painted and only shows minor signs of use. The dual exhaust system has the right hot rod tone but hushes down a bit on the highway, and the combination of bright 15-inch American Racing Torque Thrust wheel wrapped with blackwall radials looks just right.
A beautifully finished hauler that's neatly sorted and ready to cruise. Priced right and already getting a ton of interest, don't wait too long. Call today!
