1953 Ford F350 Tow Truck

1953 Ford F-350 Description

For sale is a 1953 Ford F350 tow truck. This was built and used by Wilson Motor Co. from approx. 1958 to 1990's. I have owned this truck since 1999 and it has been stored inside ever since. I started and drove this at that time. Since then it has just been sitting. I was told that the engine has approx. 500 miles on it since being rebuilt by the mechanics at Wilson Motor. The body on this truck is very rough with extensive rust on the drivers side "A" pillar which keeps the door from closing properly. Included with the truck will be an extremely solid cab, hood, doors, front fenders, and NOS (early take off) rear fenders. The truck is currently not running or driving.
A little history on this truck...
Wilson Motor Co. is the Ford dealer in Logan Utah. It was founded in 1943 and they are still in business. This truck was sold new to a local construction company and they used it for several years before trading it in (around 1958). At that time, Floyd Wilson, owner of Wilson Motor built it into a tow truck for the dealership. It was used as their main tow truck until about 1965 when a newer and bigger truck was purchased. It was still in service at the dealership but had limited use. Most of it's use at this time was as a snow plow and was used as such until the late 1980's or early 1990's. the engine was rebuilt by the Wilson Motor shop mechanics sometime around 1980 and then was hardly used.
