1962 Ford Galaxie 500 Description

Very slick, sexy car. We have a photo album showing this car on a rotisserie for a full restoration. The inside was completely gutted. Top to bottom, in and out it was restored.
EXTERIOR: Slick! Paint like red glass, chrome is gleaming, great looking stance. It's been lowered front and back. Has a set of staggered size polished aluminum Billet Specialty wheels. 18s in, 20s in back, all wrapped in performance tires. The body and paint work is beautiful. It was stripped to bare metal. Each side of the car is straight, the body panels fit flush and square. The red paint is polished like a red mirror. All the trim is new or restored which really brings the car up a level. Upfront the bumper is rechromed, grill looks to be really good original, the Ford medallion at the front of the hood is new. The stainless moldings that wrap all the way around the car have been professionally straightened and polished. The two chrome spears on top of each fender are new as well as the dual mirrors and door handles. All the stainless trim around the windows and roof are straightened and polished. The wiper arms are even polished. In back the tail lights are new, bumper is rechromed and the tail panel looks to be really good original. The moldings all along the bottom and around the wheel wells are straightened and polished. New weather strips and window fuzzy seals.
INTERIOR: It was completely gutted, even the entire dash unit was removed. It was reupholstered with reproduction red-white-black seat covers that even has the chrome embedded trim. Door panels are upholstered to match. It has new carpet and matching embroidered Galaxy floor mats. New white headliner and visors, new red seat belts in front. When the dash was removed it was all repainted and detailed out. Down below is a set of chrome Sunpro gauges. There's a retro stereo that fits right in the unique size factory hole. It has bluetooth, voice controls and upgraded speakers. Even looking up under the dash is nice, the pedals, heater box, glove box liner are excellent.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Restored and detailed very nicely. It is a factory Z-code 390-300 ho 4 barrel carb. It's actually all stock condition. Painted Ford blue, stock manifolds, valve covers, air cleaner. Firewall and the bottom of the hood is painted red. The inner fenders and core support are all semi gloss black. All the components look good- distributor, fuel pump etc.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Wow, it's beautiful in the trunk compartment. All clean metal that was prepped and painted red. Has a brand new grey plaid mat with the cardboard side panels. The spare rim and jack have been restored. New weatherstrip.
UNDERSIDE: We have photos showing this car flipped on a rotisserie. The whole bottom was cleaned, prepped and painted red oxide primer. The chassis was done in por 15 rust inhibitor. The front end is rebuilt, has drop spindles. Power steering unit looks new. Bottom of the motor is clean. The Cruise-O-Matic transmission is clean. Has dual exhaust system with crossover pipe. In back it has lowering blocks, new shocks. The brakes were redone. Fuel lines and brake lines look new. The E-brake assembly is complete. The rear end was apart and serviced, 3:00 gears.
This car has a look. Sexy comes to mind. You will know when looking at the pictures of the restoration that you are getting a great value. Someone invested a lot of time in the gorgeous cruiser!
