1934 Ford Woody Wagon Custom 2171 Miles Vibrance Hellfire
1934 Ford Other Custom Description
Surf's Up! This showroom new all-steel four-door Custom Woody (inspired by a 1934 Ford Station Wagon) was designed by Super Rides by Jordan. This classic four-door Woody body, hand built by Cecil Taylor at the Hercules Motor Car Company in Tampa, Florida, is mounted on a TCI chassis. The Woody is powered by an aluminum block Ford 427 bored and stroked to 486 cubic inches, generating more than 500 HP and 575 foot-pounds of torque. All the wood finish and details were completed by Ron Heiden of Heiden Woodworking in Encinitas, California. Ron's finishing work includes ribbon grain mahogany panels inside and out, as well as hardwood maple, birch, and brasswood roof slats. Ron also added mahogany and maple to the Budnik steering wheel and the handle of the floor-mounted gearshift. The custom surfboard roof rack was constructed of maple and walnut and is finished to complement the wood on the body. This wonderful Woody was painted a spectacular PPG Vibrance "Hellfire" color by Best of Show in Escondido, California. The car's undercarriage is beautifully detailed with stainless steel and chrome throughout. In the sunlight, the spectacular paint on the fenders and hood displays a wide spectrum of deep candy apple colors as the radius of the fenders and hood move from shadow to light. The classic interior, which includes leather seats front and rear and wool carpeting, was completed by the award-winning Armando"s Custom Interiors. The interior includes an original 1934 Ford dashboard that has been modified to accept beautiful and functional Classic Instrument gauges. The rear gate swings down to reveal a custom mahogany interior with chrome luggage strips and a panel that hides the gas tank filler cap. In addition to the dashboard and rear gate design, Super Rides by Jordan created the innovative and beautiful hood superstructure, engine compartment firewall, custom tanks, engine valve covers, and other custom details. The vehicle's aluminum Ford 486ci engine includes Edelbrock heads, a Crane roller cam, and an Imagine fuel injection system. In addition to generating more than 500hp and being lightning quick, this vehicle can cruise at more than 70 mph with ease. The engine was built by Gregg Scott Racing Engines in El Cajon, California. The transmission is a beefy Chevy 4L80-E. The suspension components were built by Kugel Components of La Habra, California, which include stainless steel and polished chrome IFS, and a 9-inch Ford IRS rear end. The brakes have 13-inch drilled and slotted rotors. The limited-slip differential carries a 3:08 final gear ration that allows for low-RPM highway cruising. The custom Budnik wheels are 17x7 in the front and 18x8 in the rear. This award-winning Ford was one of the top hot rod Woodys in California, combining stunning looks with lightning quickness. It won "The Best Hot Rod Woody" award in the 2007 Wavecrest Show, and the 2007/2008 Doheny Wood Show Awards. It is truly in amazing condition and is ready to be enjoyed. The original cost to build this vehicle was north of $150,000. The Redwood Surfboard (Redwood Curl) was custom made by Dennis Murphy in San Diego CA to 1934 Surfboard Specs from a reclaimed Redwood Water tank in Julien CA. I can only guess as to what that would cost today (not cheap). Contact: Dave B 877-855-1030 or send an eBay message.
