1966 Ford Fairlane 500 Description

With its upgraded V8, four-on-the-floor, custom interior, and overall cool style, this 1966 Ford Fairlane 500 has a lot to offer at a value price.

This is arguably one of the most attractive designs of the '60s. The stacked headlights, wraparound chrome bumpers, and a sporty kick-up in the rear fenders are all the kinds of things we love from an era when the right car could own the road. This one likes to really showcase this style thanks to a stately gray paint. It does a good job of looking upper-class by showcasing the classic body style and its full-length crease. And at the same time, the updated clearcoat finish give it a touch of flair that goes with the sporty bright rockers and upgraded competition-style wheels.

The Fairlane 500 offers plenty of room for family and friends, but you can also instantly tell this one was upgraded with the driver in mind. The front seats are late-model high-back buckets to give you terrific bolstering. The Grant GT sports steering wheel feels great in your left hand, and your right one may never want to leave the Hurst T-bar shifter. Plus, there's plenty of upgraded gauges, including a handy tach prominently mounted on the steering column.

Within the sleek dark inner walls of the engine bay lies a shining upgraded V8. The consignor states this is a 302 cubic-inch unit that has been enhanced and fortified with 351 Windsor heads and forged pistons. There's also a Carter four-barrel carburetor, Weiand intake, and long tube headers that add power while contributing to the rumble of the dual exhaust. And there are nice supporting components, like the electronic ignition and aluminum radiator. It's a strong running total setup, and you control completely with the crisp-shifting four-speed manual transmission. Plus, with features like wide BF Goodrich T/As and front disc brakes, this is a well-done driving package.

Classic distinction meets sporty upgrades, and it's all offered for an obtainable price. Don't miss this Fairlane, call today!
