VEHICLE DESCRIPTION
292 V-8 (believed to be original engine), UPGRADED W NEWER CARB & PAPER AIR CLEANER< AUTO TRANS, POWER STEERING, POWER BRAKES.This 1995 Red T-Bird comes with both Hard and Soft tops in white and a Red and White interior. The car would make a great daily driver and starts up immediately every time. 12V conversion has been done.
Paint & Body: The classic lines of this original Thunderbird sill wears its sought-after Torch Red paint with Red/White interior. The car has been re-sprayed and touched up at some point. Although there are minor dings, no major damage is evident, and there is no indication of any significant filler. Chrome has some scratches and minor rust, but perfectly acceptable for a daily driver. This example has the desirable fender skirts in matching red. Fender skirts and headlight 'eyebrows' have been upgraded with a ''dress-up" kit with extra chrome.
Interior: Original dash and gauges. All work except for clock. Aftermarket classic-style radio has been installed, operation has not been verified. Seats are upholstered in original red and white design, carpet is newer and door trim is good. Power seats are inoperative. Mechanical tachometer works (this is very rare to find).
Glass / Windows / Doors: Glass is clean, doors are solid and power windows work.
Convertible Top(s): This Thunderbird comes with original (white) hard top in excellent shape and an aftermarket white soft top in very good shape with no tears. Soft top stows behind the seat if desired. But why put the top on when you an drive this beauty with no top at all.
Undercarriage: Undercarriage appears original and solid, with no significant rusting or frame damage.
Wheels / Tires: This 1955 Thunderbird comes with original-style white wall tires, original hubcaps and the desirable fender skirts
Drivetrain: The 292 V8 has been mated to a more modern four-barrel carburetor with a standard paper air filter to provide easier starting and maintenance. Drivetrain otherwise original and in good shape. Drives smoothly with plenty of power.
Lights / Electrical: Electrical system has been upgraded to 12V. All lighting works properly, including map light, trunk / license plate light, and reverse lights. Clock is not running and electric seat controls are inoperable. Radio has not been tested.
Brakes: 4 wheel POWER drum brakes.
