1993 Taurus SHO, Includes spare engine, parts, tools
1993 Ford Taurus SHO Description
Up for auction here is a 1993 Taurus SHO with 192277 miles. I saved this car from a police auction 10 years ago. Since then I've installed a rebuilt 3.2 Yamaha engine at 147000 miles(new bearings, seals, timing belt, water pump, injectors) I basically did a very extensive 60K service and fixed all the known issues associated with the engine. It runs beautifully with no codes.I hate idiot lights so I installed a pillar gauge pod to monitor the vitals. A whole new exhaust was installed, went in the same time as the engine, new cats and all the way to the back. Transmission was sent to a shop and was rebuilt at the time of the sub-frame drop. The engine and trans mounts need to be replaced, new one are included I just haven't installed them. All the suspension bushings, ball joints, struts, brakes have been replaced at one time with periodic alignments performed. The tires maybe have 500 miles on them.
The paint, not in the best condition. This is a 27 year old car with the clear coat pealing on the hood and fenders. It has some bumps and scrapes, far from perfect, however it looks good going down the road and 20 feet away. There is rust on the passenger side quarter panel and inner rear door The windshield is cracked and the truck lock is not working, the interior access lever works for opening the trunk
The interior, is in decent shape. The dash has a broken spot on the passenger side next to the vent. The seats are worn and the leather is cracked, The switch for the sunroof died and I never replaced it. The headliner cloth have been removed. The A/C is not working, I was going to upgrade to 134A just haven't got around to it. The stereo was upgraded to a Sony, mids and tweets in the door with 6x9's in the back, It is wired for a subwoofer box in the trunk.
The EXTRAS. A spare engine (some assembly required) all the small pieces are bagged and organized. As you can see in the pics there are plenty of parts on my shelves and in the totes. Also included with this is a Rotunda engine tool kit that has all the special tools need to work on this wonderful Yamaha engine.
I am selling it all, I no longer drive this car anymore and hopefully it will find a person that will give it the attention it deserves. As you can see I've spent lots of time working on the mechanical side of the car to make it as reliable as I could, to get me to and from work and to get my boys to practices. It is a good car and a fun car and it shouldn't be sitting in my yard wasting away.
Please remember this is a used car and is being sold as is with no warranty or refunds. This auction can be cancelled at any time.
All extra items will be neatly loaded into the trunk, The winner will be responsible for cars delivery to final destination after payments is received and cleared
If payment is not received in the specified time, this car will be relisted.
