This truck spent its life as a Ranch owners personal rig on a big cattle ranch in eastern Oregon. The original owner bought the truck to haul ( a lot of Cowboys) around the ranch and for his run into town truck. This rancher is known around the area to always take good care of what he owned and this truck is a prime example. After 35 plus years of reliable service the original 400 V8 engine was getting tired and so the original owner decided it was time to buy some new ford trucks for the Ranch. The head ranch mechanic bought the truck and put in the rebuilt 460 V8 engine in the place of 400 v8 and drove it occasionally for a few years before deciding he needed to sell it to fund building a new shop for his expanding mechanic business.

The truck was purchased in Oregon and remained there all of its life. Vehicles from the Northwestern States are prized for their general lack of rust as they do not use salt on the roads. This truck never had any rust. The truck will be transferred on a clean Oregon title.

We received the truck, completely rust free, but the paint was showing its age.We commissioned a bare metal respray in the factory color of Medium Vacquero Glow paint and freshened the interior. (Vacquero is Spanish for Cowboy,works well withthis truck). We had our mechanic go completely through the truck and he installed a new exhaust system, before pronouncing it road ready.

This truck came from the factory with the desireable Dana 60 high pinion front axle which is a highlight of the drivetrain, compared to the Dana 44.

The truck runs and drives extremely well. I recently took this truck on a 350 mile trip and it performed flawlessly. Thumbs up and waves/smiles from people the whole way. I would have no problem jumping in this truck and making an awesome road trip.

Both fuel tanks work and switch correctly. there are no funny noises, squeeks, rattles,etc. the steering is very tight and the suspension functions very well. The glass is in great shape and the windows roll up correctly. All the weatherstripping was replaced at the repaint. the heat and defroster work correctly. The AM radio does not come on.

The F350 Supercab 4x4 was only built in 1979 and nice ones are hard to find.
