1923 Ford Competition Track Roadster Description

I have listed this car for a friend of mine who is the builder of the car. It's a original steel 1923 Ford T Roadster built for vintage racing events such as the "Race of Gentleman", Hill Climb, Vintage Drags, Vintage Dirt Track. There is no title as the car is not intended to be street driven. The car sits on a custom built frame that started with 28 Chevy rails with the body channeled down over the frame. It has a full aluminum belly pan attached to a steel framework under the body. Most all the parts used in the build are early vintage parts. Suspension is Ford Model A rear spring early Ford axle tubes with a Magnesium Halibrand quick change center section. The front is 37 Ford 60HP tube axle with 46 spindles and Model A split bones all cadmium plated. Original Ford Houdaille lever shocks front and rear. The engine is a 48 59AB Flathead with the stock bore freshened up with new rings, bearings, all new valves, guides and springs a Isky cam and adjustable lifters. Offenhauser early two carb intake with Ford Holley 94 carbs. The heads are new Edelbrock finned aluminum. The steering is vintage Franklin which is period correct for this type of car. It has a 39 ford top shifted trans with 25 tooth Lincoln gears with shortened torque tube connecting it all to the quick change rear. The aluminum seat is custom hand built. It has a cut down 32 Ford grille shell with a new custom modified aluminum radiator. The car has only rear early Ford brakes operated by hand via early Ford parking brake handle connected to a early Ford master cylinder. The car rolls on original Halibrand 16" no hole Magnesium wheels with new Coker Firestone dirt track tires. The engine has been test run. The car has all the right vintage period correct parts, too many to put in this description of the car. Please look at the photos and ask questions. Thanks for looking!!
