1934 Ford Coupe Hot Rod Description

1934 Ford Coupe replica HotRod

Finished in 2013 this car was built to be a very nice show car with features and durability desired for driving daily. Registered in California as SPCNS with no smog requirements.

Exterior - Fiberglass body is Red Gelcoat and gloss Black texture. This unique use of Line-X coating turns heads every where it goes. As if the 1934 styling wasn't enough this black texture sparkles in the sunlight attracting added attention. It's durable and easy to care for.

American Racing "Outlaw 1" wheels with BF Goodrich T/A radial ties. Just the right combination for the classic HotRod look. Plus the solid wheels eliminate brake dust minimizing the need to clean or polish.

It has a low stance appearance yet plenty of ground clearance for every day driving. Air shocks in back can compensate for heavier loads or extra tall road obstructions.

LED lighting. The Headlights, cowl lamps and V8 emblems are illuminated with RGB (full color) LED coordinated lighting. Remote control provides multiple programming of different colors and patterns. These lights can stay on through a typical car show without draining the car's battery. There are 3 each V8 emblems. 2 on the engine skirts and one on the dash so the driver can see what color is being displayed outside.

Third break light from Cadillac.

Period chrome bumpers.

Interior door hinges for a clean appearance.

Chrome, convex side mirrors for clear vision of traffic.

The chopped top appearance looks sharp outside. However, I can ware my hat while driving. Seeing the traffic lights is not the issue found in other chop top cars.

Trunk is spacious for a smaller sized hotrod. I can easily fit an ice chest, 2 chairs, box of cleaning supplies, and camera gear with room for more. Groceries or home improvement items fit without trouble.

Engine and drive train - 1966 Ford Mustang 289 with C4 automatic transmission. Hotter than stock with good mild idle. Professionally rebuilt engine and trans. Items above stock include New Holly 4 barrel carb, Aluminum performance intake manifold, electric fuel pump to eliminate vapor lock, MSD Digital 6A Ignition Control with matching distributor, Ignition wire organizer, & Chrome air cleaner. Dual exhaust with flowmaster mufflers announce something special is coming. A great hot rod sound track. Even with the windows open the sound level inside is fine for holding a conversation with your passenger. This car sounds great without disturbing your neighbors.

Suspension - Front end is Mustang II suspension with power steering connected to a chrome tilt steering column. This is a very popular setup for car building enthusiast. Standard Ford Disc brakes all around. Adjustable air shocks in the rear provide custom ride height.

Interior - Professionally finished interior upholstery. Black with red seat panels that follow through to the headliner and dash. Door panels and inside trunk divider are lined with the original kit supplied materials for authentic HotRod styling. Dash is built with all new gauges and LED indicator lamps. V8 emblem is illuminated to match the color of the outside lighting. Dash itself has been painted black and red to match the interior color scheme. This car also has a lower dash panel giving it a clean finished look and protecting the wiring.

I have included much sound and thermal insulation into this car.

Heater with 3 speed blower has vents above and below dash.

12V power outlet formerly known as cigarette lighter.

Door switches will fire up the interior illumination. I have installed a defeat switch for when the doors are left open all day - car shows.

Pockets have been added behind the seats providing a quick and easy to access location for cameras, water bottle, phone & other personal items. Think glove box. Space behind the seats looks small but will hold a surprising amount. There is also some space under the seats.

Power windows, Power brakes, B&M Transmission shifter another classic hot rod feature.

Updated "bear claw" door latches and safety door locks.

Trunk - As mentioned earlier it is quite roomy. Finished in matching red carpet with red and black vinyl sides. There is a latch mechanism with pull to release located inside the car.

Fuel tank is about 13-15 gallons. Fuel filler is positioned in the center just below the trunk lid.

Brake and turn fender lights are new LED type.

Owner builder - "Finished" is a matter of opinion. As is, this car represents my vision for this classic 1934 ford coupe. It drives well sounds mean and has a unique appearance that gets attention. I have enjoyed taking this to car shows as well as the local hardware or groceries store. If our child was in school he would really be popular as the kid who arrives in the hot rod. This was built to be my daily driver. I understand some people like the perfection of a first place trophy winner and for those this car is a good start towards that goal. Others want a racy hot rod and for them a 5 speed trans and posi traction rear end could make this their dream car. Personally my son and I take this to weekend car shows with a sign that says "OK TO TOUCH”. We invite kids to sit inside and parents to take photos. It's just a lot of fun!

So why am I selling my favorite car?

Having been bitten by the car building bug I have new creation in the garage. Cash flow, space, and my wife all dictate that something has to go. Custom License plate is included with the purchase of this car.
