There’s a lot that can be said about this unique 1969 Mustang!

However, I will try my best to be brief in regards of its description, condition and history.

This wonderful collector car hails from the south.

It was actually delivered to Roundtree Ford in Louisiana during the spring of 1969.

The original owner used it sparingly thanks in part to his job as a U.S. mail carrier. Most of his days unfortunately were spent in the company truck.

By all accounts he loved the car but upon retirement decided to part ways with it.

Subsequently he relinquished ownership in the fall of 1986.

The second owner (whom I had the pleasure of meeting) was an Aviation Safety Inspector/ Engineer that had a fondness for Fords & Mustangs in general.

After he acquired the car it was utilized as a daily driver over a period of three years.

He notably had the car serviced at Sherwood Ford during this time.

In the summer of 1992 his job called him into action out of the country so the Mustang was placed on the shelf for approximately twelve years.

Upon his return he explained how much things had changed. With the addition of a fourth child and a new residence he began driving the car again but mainly special occasions.

However, after things settled down he decided to invoke upon a full scale restoration!

Being a native of Mandeville Louisiana …… he implored a local Custom Restoration shop to help fulfill his dream. First on the restoration menu to be served up was a top notch custom paint job.

Zoomtech of Mandeville LA, handled the majority of the work although Southside Street Rods was involved as well (several documents included).

They first removed the original factory lacquer paint that staked its claim on the car since day one.

Afterwards they properly prepped the body to apply the new Arctic Silver Metallic paint to the panels.

The base coat clear coat method was implemented to complete the process.

There was countless man hours invested to make this a Ford a true stand up collector car!

Let me say at this point “calling this Custom Mustang an attention getter” would be an understatement!

When the car cover rolls off this vintage Ford the general public takes notice!

This Mustang has a truly amazing Satin Silver Metallic finish! There was a grand effort made to create a custom color that would stop traffic!

Although the exact formula can’t be totally classified it involved blending the color codes of a Porsche Carrera Cabriolet and a Ford GT (Tungsten).

The exterior is very shiny and extremely radiant in direct sunlight! If you’ve been looking for a muscle car that’s subtle in nature “this is not the car for you”!

The paint scheme is very unique and easily brings the cars character to life!

The contour & quality of the entire vehicles exterior is respectable and uniform. It has lines that are in step with the era’s production assembly specifications.

The cars presentation is quite refreshing and a welcomed break from the status quo colors that are so prevalent on the freeways today.

Adding the perfect touch to this already amazing muscle car is a perfect set of Raven Black Racing stripes “perfect contrast”! These stripes run over the circumference of the body and the lower rocker panels.

Also joining in the fight to ensure you are considered for a trophy on cruise night is a menacing blacked out tail panel!

Finally the shop gave the Mustang a well deserved twist by installing a pair of 1969 Shelby sanctioned side scoops & a bull dog aggressive looking front chin spoiler!

This Mustang has a look that screams “YESTERYEAR”! Yet it appeals to every single person driving a modern day muscle car!

Hitting the road in this Mustang is an adventure every time out!

All of the stainless and chrome appointments have been restored to like new condition! Both bumpers front & rear have been replaced along with all of the supporting brackets and fender script!

The rear gas cap with galloping stallion is new as well!

A nostalgic set of racing mirrors reminds us of the days when real muscle cars ruled the road!

She’s ready for any venue! You won’t make it a city block without receiving a compliment!

Now that we have talked about this incredible Mustangs exterior lets discuss what she has to offer inside.

Upon opening the door of this pony you will find a very inviting interior!

Starting with the black standard seat upholstery you will find quality components throughout!

The seats were restored by Old Town Upholstery a short time ago. Before they were reconfigured new padding was added for extra comfort and support! The back seats were also included in the restoration process!

Driving this pony for hours on in is a sheer pleasure! Nice lumbar support!

You will notice a definite difference the moment you begin your excursion!

The dash pad is also in excellent condition! It does not have any defects or damage to speak of.

This Blue Oval has a perfect set of factory black door panels fashioned neatly inside as well! The door bottoms are arrayed in silver so the car looks as good inside as it does out! The supporting door hardware is also new and in great condition.

The full length carpet tucked away inside is also in pristine condition! Placed underneath your feet will be yet another item that screams out

“I LOVE MY MUSTANG”!!! This beauty has been afforded a new set of embossed Mustang floor mats!

The inner quarter upholstery has stood the test of time along with the ash trays!

This pony also has a beautiful unique black custom console that really makes it stand out when it comes to the interior!

The console not only looks great ….. it’s excellent for storing change, loose items and a cold beverage!

Right front and center also is a flawless black steering wheel for you to grip adorned with a nice horn pad (not a single crack in the steering wheel)!

All & all the interior of this Mustang is in amazing condition!

This is truly an incredible car that is ready to be enjoyed!

This one really takes you back to 1969 each & every time you climb behind the wheel!

Something else that shouldn’t be overlooked easily is the trunk of this pony car! This Mustang has a very nice molded trunk mat that looks fantastic!

The trunk rails and inner quarters are rock solid (Must See) there is also a nice convertible boot tucked away inside!

Another favorite item of mine is the manual convertible top itself! Classic vehicles with the power top option can be a headache if the supporting components aren’t constantly monitored.

The good news here is that the top one this convertible pony is brand new & manufactured with high grade material!

No need to pay for leaking hydraulic lines, high priced convertible booster motors or failing cylinders!

The top lowers in a millisecond by simply releasing both handles!

Of course this Vintage pony looks AMAZING with the top down!

Now that I have given several reasons why you should love this Ford…… I will talk about yet why a few Chevy guys hate it!

No Mustang can truly be considered a muscle car without having a factory V/8!

The heart and soul of this horse is its STOUT factory 302 engine. Originally this pony came with a 351 H code motor. However when the restoration was complete and the owner decided to rebuild the block he contacted Matt Johnson’s Performance who was known for building Ford performance engines!

After coming to terms with the shop they agreed to install a higher horse power 1969 302 F Code motor that is now under the hood of this car!

THIS PONY RUNS STRONG!!!!

The engine has plenty of giddy up and is ready for the open road!

She turns over with just a flick of the key at the slightest touch!

The engine has a host of new components installed on it recently as well! There are too many to count but here’s a short list: plugs, high output wires, electronic ignition (better spark….eliminates points) water pump, thermostat, gaskets, seals, battery, hoses, belts, starter, etc!

To handle all of the new internal parts a new performance intake was installed along with a High Output carburetor!

LET’S FIRE HER UP!!!

The oncoming crowd will not only see you coming they will hear you!

This classic Ford Mustang has an awesome chambered exhaust system!

There is also a fairly new set of performance mufflers keep this one singing a sweet note!

The car is extremely dependable! You will have no problem cruising along for hours without issue! There is nothing better than driving with confidence! If you are looking for a reliable classic car “look no further”!

This pony has a great torque as well “power is optimal” it is very user friendly but it’s great to know that you can flex a little muscle if there’s a desire to!

There is even a fairly new radiator installed to help keep things cool under the hood!

To give this Ford a look worthy of its heritage a set of chrome valve covers were installed along with a chrome air cleaner!

The brake system has also been totally gone through.

Here you have the total package. A classic Ford Mustang that sounds & looks incredible!

To top things off there is an excellent set flawless 17 inch Triple Chrome Torque Thrust style mag wheels installed at all four corners!!!

Guys driving all the modern muscle cars today can’t help but point & give you thumbs up when driving this one!

The wheels are also wrapped in brand new Sumo Performance radials! The tires don’t have 40 miles on them so this Mustang is ready for years on trouble free performance!

This vehicle is rust free! It has a solid frame, torque boxes, floor boards, quarters, etc!!!

These items alone can make a car priceless in regards to avoiding the frustration associated with rust repair!
