1952 Ford F-100 Description

This 1952 Ford F-1 pickup is one of those awesome vehicles we get in from time to time, you know, the one that you always wanted and didn't think you could afford to buy or build. Well, strap in, because this one is remarkably affordable and beautifully built. The Ford F-1 is arguably the best-looking post-war truck, and there's just about nothing you can do to make them unattractive. Fortunately, all the right stuff is here: beautiful burgundy paint, all the original trim has been neatly re-chromed, and there's a neatly finished wood bed out back. At this price, you'd expect a truck that's been used hard and put away wet, but quite the contrary is true here. Instead, it looks fresh and beautifully done, with professional workmanship throughout. Those fat fenders have been sanded and blocked to make them smoother than new, that big clamshell hood fits well, and even the original running boards have been retained. Even though it's been driven a bit, the paint looks good, but it isn't like those trailer queens you see, so you won't be afraid to drive it every chance you get, which really is the reason for owning a truck like this. In fact, this one has been a regular cruiser so you know it's well sorted and an excellent driver. And for long cruises, that oak bed is big enough to carry everything you need without worries. The interior has been thoughtfully updated but doesn't lose its '50s character. There's still a bench seat, but the soft burgundy tweed fabric is a lot more comfortable than the original vinyl, and there are matching carpets in place of the factory rubber mat. The original gauge cluster is still in place and the gauges are in excellent condition, framed by a handsome wood-rimmed steering wheel and there are auxiliary gauges in the usual spot to monitor the vitals. A tilt column with custom wood-rimmed steering wheel looks upscale and the door panels are simple pieces that emphasize the truck's utilitarian roots and match the seat upholstery. It's comfortable, stylish, and easy to drive, just the way you would have done it if you were doing it for yourself, right? There's a 351 cubic inch Ford V8 under the hood doing a great job of moving the vintage truck and offers a great soundtrack. It's neatly dressed with vintage Erson-logo valve covers and a chrome air cleaner, and a Holley 4-barrel carburetor ensures that it's plenty potent out on the road. The block is proper Ford Blue and it's dressed up with a bit of chrome and braided stainless hose covers, as well as some red plug wires to add some pop. The front suspension is independent and it brings power steering and front disc brakes, and there's a 9-inch rear end out back. With an automatic transmission, this truck cruises effortlessly at modern highway speeds, and there's a new gas tank hanging out back. A great-sounding dual exhaust system has been neatly tucked out of sight and uses Flowmaster mufflers for a comfortable burble at idle and a fantastic roar when you stand on it. Matching steel wheels with hubcaps and trim rings complete the vintage look and carry 215/70/15 front and 235/70/15 rear blackwall radials.Look at the pictures of this awesome Ford, then take another look at the price.
