This auction is for a 1970 Ford F100 XLT Ranger Camper Special. This is a solid, rust free truck. This is a restoration project or a great truck to put back together as original because it has the petina look so it would make a great rat rod. I have many pictures to show you. It does have dents and dings in the front fenders, bed sides and the top of the cab. The tailgate has a big ding in it. The chrome is messed up on the tailgate. It has a killer cab. The floorboards, cab corners and cab mounts are solid, as well as the doors. This truck was originally bought in Texas and spent most of its life there until a friend of mine bought it in the 1990's. He had it for over 20 years stored in the garage. He had the motor and transmission rebuilt, and a new torque converter, but it is an old rebuild. It doesn't have any time on it though. It was only driven once after the rebuild. This was before the new intake and distributor were put on.He had it running on a two barrel carb system and intake and it didn't perform well, so he purchase an Elderbrock intake and a Carter competition carburetor and a Mallory distributor. I can get it to hit but I cannot get it to run. I think they might have the wrong push rods in it. I don't feel like fooling with this. Due to health reasons I am not able to work on these like I used to.
This is the bad news: I don't have the grill. The seat has a tear in it. I may not have all of the bolts to put the front end back together, but I will give you all that he gave me. I don't have a battery to go with it. I may not have all of the chrome pieces that went on it, but they should all be there. I also don't have the driver's side wing glass. The guy that I purchased it from said that he found it but he never shipped it to me. This still may be an available option to the buyer, but you will probably have to pay him shipping for it.
This is the good points: I am going to let a new black dash pad go with this, a new inner fender and a new battery box.
