1971 GMC Sprint Custom / El Camino
1971 GMC Other Custom Description
This is the little known brother of the El Camino. The Sprint was produced from 1971-1977, and in this body for only 2 years.
1971 was the first year of the Sprint and this car has a low production number car (00123). This car was built in Van Nuys, California and stayed in Martinez CA. until 2009. It is 99.5% rust free almost completely stock car, with factory air conditioning. I have the original wheels, owners manual, along with a old California title, and a copy of the build sheet.
It is a un-restored car. Has had a cheap paint job on it and unfortunately it shows. Paint is blistering (not rust related) on the sides and tailgate. I opened one of the blisters up on the lower fender to find no rust and the primer is still in great condition. Car has a few small rust bubbles popping up on the lower rear of the front fenders, also a very small spot over the drivers door. Never had a vinyl top. Brakes are in excellent working order. The car has a few leaks, engine oil pan gasket, and transmission pan plug. It is a driver quality car, runs great, rides nice.
Only 4364 Custom V8 models were produced in '71. This car is #123.Body very good condition
