1960 GMC Other Description

What I've got here is my 1960 GMC 1000 series short box step side, much more rare than the Chevrolet C10. I can almost guarantee this is the cleanest most original truck of this style you will find anywhere. It has just over 70,000 miles and is 95% original. I updated to an alternator and lowered it 4" with coils and the back and softer torsion keys up front. I have all the original parts that I have replaced including the coil springs, generator, and regulator. I have a copy of the original dealer sale papers from a dealership in Santa Fe, NM in my possession. The story on this truck is the original owner had the truck until he passed away sometime around 1994. It sat in his daughers back yard in northern NM until about three years ago. An older guy bought it and redid the cylinders and got the engine running somewhat. I got the truck from him and got it up to a "weekend driver" status but the truck was too original for me to cut up. I bought another Chevy C10 for my project and this one doesn't get much attention anymore so its time for a new home. I have a clean Colorado title in my name. It runs and drives fine and all electrical parts work including the heater. It may the carburetor re-jetted for altitude and could use a rebuild and adjustment as the needle sticks from time to time flooding the fuel bowl. It has maxed out factory options such as dual tail lights, turn signals, and factory mounted spot light that works. The turn signals work but the wheel needs adjusted to match the signal selector. I believe the turn signals are another factory add on. The bed floor is rotted but mostly intact. It has a 20 year old paint job and the only rust I have seen is the lower door corners and At the front of the inner fender supports. The frame, body mounts, floors, rockers, and cab corners are solid. The engine is (I believe) original to the truck. One major difference form the Chevy C10 is it has a 305a v6 with a 4 speed manual transmission. It is an original 4 on the floor truck. The engine does have some oil leaks but nothing significant. It's lowered with 4" coil springs in the back and I have the original springs. The front just has the torsion keys backed out to lower the front 4". The tires are at lest 15-20 years old with minimal dry rot. I drive on them from time to time but would recommend replacing them if you plan on making it a daily driver. It has a freshly rebuilt fuel system (the pump is new and all lines have been flushed out. It runs good enough to run down the road but could use fine tuning and the choke cable needs replaced. I have the original air filter but it's not on the truck. Transmission and rear end fluid are new of last summer and about 1,000 miles ago. I do drive this truck on occasion. It has some dings and dents but nothing is terrible except the hood. It would take some work to straighten but is fixable. The seat pad is worn on the drivers side but springs and cover are good. Windows work but could use felt. The speedometer works intermittently, the fuel gauge isnt accurate, the factory tach and temp gauge do work. The truck is being sold AS IS with no warranty and the buyer is 100% responsible for shipping or local pick up. If you have any detailed picture request feel free to ask and I'll get them as quickly as possible. $500 deposit is required within 24 hours of auction end via paypal.
