1970 International Harvester Scout Description

I've owned this 2 years. Purchased for my son to run around in. He's now moved on to bigger/better/newer trucks.Originally resided, purchased and shipped from Las Vegas. No rust, rot, etc. We've used primarily in dry sunny weather with the top off, no winter driving.Unknown original mileage.
The Good:Cab top has been sanded/re-primed/repainted (with spray can satin white. I didn't fix small dent in the rear edge of the top). Interior of top in good condition w/ tan vinyl liner.Interior floor/trans cover sanded and resprayed with rattle can bed liner. Same for bulkhead.Tan Bestop seats in decent condition. Installed LEDs in bed.LED in the rear.Custom front and rear bumpers, with winch up front.Spare tire carrier and hi-lift jack mounted to rear bumper.Custom tube doors with mirrors that latch solidly like original doors (need this to pass inspection too)New battery.
Updates I added to pass inspection and make road-legal, as well as safe for a 17 year old:New 30.5" BFG AT tires (265/70/16). They have maybe 1,000 miles on them...probably more like <500, but no odometer, so can't provide exact mileage, but its only been driven locally around town.Added steering stabilizer.Replaced cylinders and shoes on rear drum brakes. Didn't change any drums.New master cylinder. Stops solidly.Installed electric windshield wipers, purchased from Scoutparts.com. Did not have the original vacuum wipers.Installed parking/emergency brake. All parts purchased from Scoutparts.comInstalled new windshield and seal (original plastic windshield was cracked).New distributor, new clutch, rebuilt carb, added bluetooth stereo (now lacking speakers)Fabbed and installed switch panel in the dash to control KC off-road lights, 12v outlet, stereo, bed lights. Its functional.Replaced existing galvanized gas tank with new plastic tank, fill tube, etc.
The bad:Paint needs attention due to the age/desert sun. Oxidized and chalky, and has peeled off in some spots where I taped to spray the top. No rust though. It bump-steers and wanders a bit, due to some play in steering box and probably because of the SOA lift. Not enough to cause problems. No heat/defrost. Don't know if fan works or if heater core is even there. Only used in warmer weather, so didn't follow up on it.Right-most front bolt for cab top doesn't thread in.Left-most rear bolt for cab top is off-size and isn't there. I'll try to find right size and remedy.Single 9-gal gas tank on drivers side. Doesn't leak. Some fluid seepage from rear diff. We replaced the gasket.E-brake needs adjustment (which I hope to get to before sale)No original doors.Red paint peeling from tube doors. Don't think they were prepped very well before painting. No center console....came with one made of plywood, which has since fallen apart, so we removed.Front axle hubs look like they might be leaking...haven't investigated yet but will try.
I've posted recent pics, which don't show roll bar. I'll add that once I reinstall. Any areas you want to see, let me know and I can send to you.
