Restored, 1945 WWII Ford GWP Parade Ready Jeep w/License, Title, Low Miles!
1945 Jeep Other Description
This jeep was beautifully restored in 2001 by my husband. (He was also part of the restoration team of a TBM III Bomber that flies most weekends at the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum in Reading Pa). The Jeep has been kept in good condition and hardly driven. 980 miles shows on the speedometer. All matching numbers present (original data plates, frame, and engine).
Fully licensed. titled, and ready to roll.
A high quality reproduction body tub, hood, and windshield frame. The rest of the Jeep is all Ford. It has a 9-slot grille, gas tank and spare wheel on the back, siren, shovel, ax, and original fire extinguisher under the dash. There are a lot of Ford marked components on the Jeep. The seats have been re-upolstered, but no back seat. There is no original gas tank, my husband used an external gas tank.
Also included in this sale are my husband's notes, drawings, and photos of the restoration. Plus the books he referenced, which includes; "Judging Standard and Restoration Guide" 1/4- ton 4x4 Frd GPW 1942-1945 ( Military Vechicle Preservation Asso.). Jeep by David Fetherstn. Jeep Owners Bible by Ludel. And not in book form...are the drawings of Jon Rogers for the Willys MB and Ford GPW.
Every year it is driven in our town's Old Tyme Days Parade.
