1969 Jeep Gladiator J-3000 4WD Barn Find Original Low Miles J10 J20 Wagoneer
1969 Jeep Gladiator Standard Description
You are bidding on a beautiful, original, very rare and desirable vintage pickup, with great looks, the right colors, 4WD, and a lot of power.
This Jeep is basically a "time capsule" with just under 16,000 miles on the odometer. It still wears the original Spruce Tip Green paint, a classic Jeep color. The Amber interior shows almost no wear. The undercarriage is clean with no evidence of salt damage or structural rust. Floorboards, cab corners, inner rockers, and body mounts, are all solid.
The Dauntless V8 engine starts easily and runs cleanly. The transmission shifts easily and steering is tight and smooth. Window regulators and door latches work perfectly. Overall feel is that which you can only get with an original, low miles vehicle.
This truck has numerous original details that might otherwise have been lost to history, such as color matched gas cap, hood latch boot, both original GE headlamps, and even a paper sleeve with break-in instructions on the sunvisor.
The vehicle does have a few dings, scratches, and gravel blasting, from initial use, or from stuff stacked on it during storage. There is some light surface rust on some of the unpainted fasteners, body seams, etc, but nothing major. Bumpers have been repainted. Bed was sprayed flat black, probably at the dealership. 4WD shifter boot is torn. Gas gauge does not work. Emergency brake is frozen from nonuse.
The story I got on this truck is that the original owner purchased it for use on his farm, used it for a brief time, and then passed away. It was left in storage some 30 years, So, it is arguably a "barn find," though most likely it was kept in a regular garage or equipment shed. It originally had a snow plow, which was left outside, and deteriorated to the point that it had to be scrapped. The plow lift has since been removed, but it goes with the truck.
I have owned it 15 years, and it has always been kept inside. I have used onlyEZero gasoline in it.
Very few of these vehicles have survived. If you would like to own one in anywhere near this condition, this may be your only chance.
