Up for auction is a true time capsule; a 1976 Jeep CJ5 with 4 wheel drive. This Jeep is in amazingly nice condition for being 40 years old, nrestored and all original.
This Jeep has NOT been restored. It is not perfect.
It is Renegade Orange. The paint is in very nice condition with a nice shine and very few blemishes. The worst is the right front fender that has small chip and appears that it was touched up many years ago. It is hardly noticeable. All the other paint is 100% original.
This Jeep has the 232 inline 6 cylinder engine that starts and runs very good. It has good oil pressure and no smoke or unusual noises. It has the 3 speed manual transmission that shifts smooth as it should. The clutch is good, mooth and strong. The brakes are all like new with a new AC Delco master cylinder. All the brakes lines were completely flushed with new brake fluid. The system was correctly bled and the brakes work great.
This Jeep also has its original Whitco soft top and soft doors that are in good condition. The original Jeep operator’s manual and Jeep Whitco soft top instruction manual are in the glove box.
This Jeep runs drives and rides amazingly nice and is really a lot of fun to drive around town or on any back country road. Gets a lot of smiles and thumbs up. It drives nice at highway speeds too. It is especially fun with the top off!
The windshield wipers and the radio do not work. I have not pursued that issue, o do not know why. Other than that the Jeep is fully serviced and ready to enjoy!
Any questions? Don’t hesitate to call me (Jon) at 307-742-3003 (PM only), r email. I’m glad to help anyway I can. I can also email any other pics you may need.
I can keep the Jeep stored in my garage for the winning bidder for up to 6 weeks while you arrange shipping. I can even recommend a couple of auto transporters that have done a good job for me in the past.
Bid with confidence.
Jeep will not be released until payment has cleared our bank.
P.S. After the reserve is met, f the winning bidder does not want the 5 Kaiser Jeep hubcaps, orn button, rille badge and full time drive flanges on the front hubs, will remove all and re-install the original warn lock out hubs on front, he original horn button on the steering wheel and allow a $500 credit to the winning bid. These are all the things that I added to the Jeep to give it the look of the original CJ5 Kaiser Jeeps of the ‘60s era brochures I have seen, very rare cool look, specially with the Renegade Orange paint, think.
The set of 4 hub caps are NOS. I have their original Kaiser Jeep box. They were never installed on a vehicle until now.
If you choose to buy with my additions, ou will get the Kaiser Jeep box that the hub caps came in and the original Warn lock out hubs in a box and the original horn button….Your choice…..
