1979 Jeep CJ CJ7 Description

Complete custom restoration, retains the best of what Jeep has to offer but replaced or upgraded the weaker links that plague all Jeeps. This Jeep needs nothing, is ready to drive across the country, and prepared to take on any trail along the way. Compare this to to similar priced jeeps and see all the extra value and dependability you get. Professional frame off rebuild including complete dis-assembly, bead blasting the frame then sealed with black Imron process, Body was disassembled stripped and repainted Harley Davidson teal with custom artwork, it looks show but it was built for fun! All hoses, lines, hardware, and brackets were replaced. When this Jeep fires up you know it's something special by the way it sounds! High end machine work with the Mopar engine performance kit makes it a brand new engine at 13000 miles. Mopar fuel injection added by the designer for Daimler Chrysler. Engine was completely rebuilt to the highest standard with all parts painted, powder coated, or chromed. The drive-train was also completely disassembled and rebuilt to the same standard. 3.50 :1 gears for good highwayspeed in the diffs,241 transfer case with a 2.7:1 low range to bring it way down for crawling,Dana 30 in front with Motomaster u-joints, Superwinch hubs and the ARB locker. Model 20 in the rear with Summers brothers 1 piece axles, ARB, High nickle CV joint drive lines, 1" brake drums added to the rear, disc in front with a dual diaphragm GM power booster makes it stop better than Jeep ever imagined, 35" Dick Cepek Baja Claws, with full size spare, custom painted Neeper Diablo rims, sway bar disconnects, Currie Brothers axle U-bolts & skid plates, 400 turbo automatic with a bullet proof rebuild, upgrade and deep sump aluminum pan. All parts are available aftermarket excluding the transfer case conversion so replacement parts are easily available. Custom built heavy duty powder coated bumpers, custom built aluminum fuel tank with skid pans, full custom roll cage with built in speaker boxes. The interior is all custom, seats are custom upholstered from a Wrangler with matching fold up rear seat, the front seats are showing some wear. Custom locking center console with CB and cup holders. The whole Jeep was built by the owner of a 4X4 shop out of NM, who managed a transmission shop prior to starting one of the most highly acclaimed 4X4 shops in the southwest. The same guys that built many of the trails in Chokecherry Canyon had their machines built, upgraded, or modified at All Wheel Drive. (Moab is a prerequisite for Chokecherry) Built for his daughter it got the best of everything, and ended up on the cover of Four Wheel Drive magazine when they came out to a rock crawling event. Although it hasn't seen many miles since then it has been meticulously maintained with all synthetic Amsoil & BG fluids, and anything else it ever needed. Most recently a two inch poly body lift was added to accommodate the 35" tires with new 9000 adjustable shocks, comes with extra variable ratio steering gear box, and a custom engineered swivel tow bar. There are some stone chips and scratches but absolutely no rust anywhere and clean as they come. Too many upgrades and new parts to list. The $20K investment did not include labor. When your building something to be the best and enjoy doing it we call that a labor of love! I think the funds from the sale went to a college education. The Jeep was sold for $20K before the latest improvements and worth every penny. After looking at some of the prices of similar modified or restored Jeeps I can honestly say you can get way more bang for your buck here! It's like taking a fully restored Jeep, then making it bullet proof, then of course you have to spend the funds on a nice paint job to finish the job right. All the paperwork goes with and a new 4 Wheel Drive magazine! Reserve is low as it must sell, remember you are bidding to buy. Look at my feedback, I've sold many high end collector vehicles and the best feedback is "Better than described!" I guarantee you will be pleased. Since the original purchase from the owner it's been in a collection in Golden, Co.and that's where it will ship from.
