Lancia Fulvia GT
1968 Lancia Fulvia Description
A delightfully clean example. I may be only the third owner. It came from Italy, a one family car, always garaged, & was repainted in Italy to a high standard in the original gray.I am a LanciaMechanicby trade and it has been my personal car.I recently lost my parking situation for four cars, and this one is too nice to park outside, otherwise I'd keep it.
Super rare floor shift model, runs great. No CV joint clunks, no slipping clutch, tracks true on the road. The brakes are great ( The Fulvias main weakness is frozen brake calipers, and they are very time consuming to repair )I spent a lot of time in my shop dialing it in. It is a great car to get in & go somewhere in style.
Yes I know it would be great to find a coupe in this condition, but there aren't any around these days..
Having said that it has been parked next to a coupe, & having driven both on the roads around here, the coupe is more jouncy & the sedan more supple.
Problems ? The speedo recently stopped turning. Cable perhaps ? It glows a nice amber at night anyway. Under enthusiastic braking there is a mild thump in the right front suspension. Upper ball joint I believe, but neither I or the previous owner have been worried about it.
I put a new pair of Ultra rare Konis in the front. Think of the resale value of those on eBay.
No rust to speak of.
This car has spent its entire life in Italy, except for the last several years in my garage in California.
It has all the original stuff like matching Carello headlights, Carello stainless wiper arms, the wiring is unmolested. All the fasteners are original too.
The interior smell is magnificent, and one of the buying points to consider. No mildew or old manky notes hit the nose upon entry. All doors shut with a beautiful sound. It has never been hit.
Comes on an Italian title, with all US entry paperwork.
Thanksfor looking. You might look up my Italian car company EddinsMoto for a reference.
