1966 Lincoln Continental Convertible No Reserve- runs- windows and top work
1966 Lincoln Continental Convertible Description
This is a car I bought three years ago with the intention of restoring for one of my boys so I could give them both a Linc. (I already had another 66 restored for my other son). They would rather have a truck. With that being said- here's what I know about the car- About a year ago I drove the car to the warehouse where it is currently parked. I started the car (had to charge the battery a little) and she runs (a little rough). The car shifts in and out of park to reverse and into drive. She stops. Not sure if she is road worthy. The top works (the last owner had the complete pump and relay system done) and the frame also looks like it is newer (very good shape). The actual top is done and there is no liner on the underside. The window all go up and down but some of the switches are in rough shape so they will need to be replaced (a common issue). Additionally the rear windows do not power down when you press the door release button. The interior carpet is done as well as the dash cover. The front seat looks new and is in very good shape- the back see looks nice from afar but the seams are cracked when you press on it. The front power seat does not work nor does the power antenna. The last owner put in a console to accommodate a stereo- I think it can be easily removed but I did not try. You can see the paint is in rough shape and there are a few of the common rust areas. Car's frame is good. Car reads 56000K miles- no idea how many miles are on her (only that there about maybe 8 in the last 3 years). The hub caps on the car appear to be 1969- I do not have the originals.
The car was maintained by the last owner to be driver. The windows and top were serviced by Cashman (if you're a Lincoln guy then you know Cashman). Basically the car is either a get her running right and drive or a great starting point to a restoration. I do not know much else about the car.
As you can see, the car is priced to sell. I just don't have interest in the car anymore and have moved on to a set of old Broncos. I have way more than the buy it now price in the car. The car is sold as is where is without any other representation. Pick up is Vero Beach Florida. The car comes with an open clean Georgia Title. If you have questions, please ask before bidding. Please have the car surveyed as I cannot tell you much about it. If you want pictures of anything in particular please let me know (this was the most pictures Ebay would let me post)
There is $500 deposit due within six hours of auction close due via Paypal. The balance is due via cash or wire transfer withing three days of the closing of the auction. The car will not leave until payment is received and cleared. These are the terns and I am not interested in changing them
Car is sale locally and I reserved the right to end the auction early.
Thanks a ton for your interest- these are very fun cars- I have owned a number of them.
