1965 Lincoln Continental - all original - never crashed or rusted - one family
1965 Lincoln Continental Description
This car is truly a standout opportunity. I purchased it early summer 2018 from the original owners family.
44301 miles from new, never crashed - hit, or repaired. There is also no structural rust anywhere despite the light surface rust seen. All paint, trim, upholstery, glass; everything but service items, is original to the car. From new to mid-1980s the car was owned and driven by an actual little old lady from Provo, Utah where no salt was used on the roads. In the 80s the car was gifted to her great nephew in Connecticut who used it as an occasional summer driver until 1997ish when it was stored in a heated warehouse until my purchase 2018.
A new battery and methodical waking up routine has the car running and driving again. While going over things pre-start, I was surprised to find all fluids exactly at fill levels and clean. The car must have had a complete servicing before being stored away. The engine starts first crank and runs steadily with no smoke or errant noises. Transmission shifts just as it should - brakes stop the car, and so on... That said, I'd call it nominally running and in need of thorough going through before regular driving.
Something short of a full restoration is all this car really needs; paint obviously wants renewed... the interior is excellent and little required here. The right rear door is stuck closed, and you will surely find other things to do. Still the car is in remarkable condition, and it's a simple path to road ready.
Original window sticker, shabby and laminated - original owners manual, with original owner identification card, excellent but some pages separating from binding - other period documents - complete factory parts and service manuals included in sale.
Car is sold as-is, no warranty. Deposit by paypal immediately, full payment within 3 days.
