1963 Lincoln Continental - Recent Repaint / No rust / Very original
1963 Lincoln Continental Description
Great opportunity to buy an appreciating classic. This 1963 Lincoln Continental has been re-finished in Nocturne Blue (Original color code) from a recent bare metal repaint. During the repaint all rust was professionally repaired with new metal. The receipts for the work total ~$16k. Original and good condition light blue cloth interior and powered by a 430ci V8 paired to a 3-speed automatic transmission.
Paperwork dating back to 1960s includes parts/maintenance receipts, a copy of the original title, and past registrations. Offered with a new factory workshop manual, period brochures, as well as a recent fluids service and 4 new period correct tires. Past work has included stainless steel brake lines, stainless steel rear exhaust section and older engine/transmissionwork.
Chrome is quite nice, with pitting noted on some smaller pieces including door handles, and headlamp trim. There are scratches on front and rear bumpers.
The interior is clean and well presented and the car drives well. Some oil leaks are evident when parked. Brakes and steering are ok.
Electronics are ok, it should be noted that both electric rear windows are currently not moving up or down (yet to be diagnosed) as well as some ongoing needs for the heater. This was a no ac car from new.
The 5 digit odometer shows around 7390 miles and I believe it has rolled over once.
Feel free to ask any questions, or request any clarifying photographs. Car maybe viewed if you are local to Cincinnati. Vin is:3Y82N414227
This would make a great project to take it to the next level.
