1988 Lincoln Mark VII One Owner 43,000 Original Miles 5.0 No Reserve
1988 Lincoln Mark Series VII Description
Up for auction today is a 1988 Lincoln Mark VII. I am listing this car for my friends parents, who don't have an Ebay account or any clue on how to list something on Ebay. They have owned the car since new, and as they are getting up in age, are having more and more difficulty getting in and out of it, so they bought a new SUV and decided to let this go. The car has 43,559 original miles and was garage kept up until 6 years ago. 5.0 engine, overdrive transmission, and working air bag suspension. The spare tire has never even touched the pavement. I did not wash or wax it for the purpose of pictures, only had my son run a vacuum through the interior. What you see is an actual representation of the car as it was dropped off to me. With a little cleaning it will look much better. Although the car is a low mileage original car, it does need a little TLC. It has some scratches, dings,a few rust spots, and the paint on the roof is sun faded from being parked outside. The leather interior is not ripped, but could use a nice conditioning. The A/C has a leak, when charged it only lasts a couple of months before it needs another shot of refrigerant, and the wiper blades are dry and cracked. All in all it's still a nice car for being 31 years old. Over the last 2 years the owner has put about $2500 into the car for hoses, oil change, a belt, a complete brake job, including all calipers, rotors, pads, brake hoses, steel lines, and a battery, and they want to just sell it without doing any other repairs. Receipts are available.Folks, this is a nice car for someone who doesn't mind doing a little work. I don't know what these are actually worth so I will start the bidding low based on what I see online, and let the cards fall where they may. The plates and insurance were just taken off the car this week, and parked by me, because they can no longer leave it on the street.Feel free to ask any questions, or to make a reasonable offer.
Now for what needs to be said:This car is being sold as is,where is, and as described above. Bidding through Ebay is a binding contract, bid to win, not to hold the car for inspection. I didn't go through the car with a fine toothed comb, but did explain what I was told or saw. There may be a few other "quirks" that might need to be looked at as this car has sat with minimal usage over the last few years, by an elderly couple without the means to store or maintain it properly. Again, feel free to ask questions. No surprises. $200 deposit through Paypal within 2 days of auctions close. Balance in Cash at time of pickup. I would expect the car to be picked up within two weeks of auctions close. If you need more time, or would like me to hold it here until the new owner gets it registered, email me through Ebay to discuss this.
NO RESERVE....... GOOD LUCK AND ENJOY BIDDING
