RARE 1991 Mazda Miata MX-5 Special Edition. Less than 48k miles! This is the first special edition Miata in the original British Racing Green, and it set the trend of what would be standard features for nearly every special Miata to come. It has a wood Nardi shifter and hand brake, stainless sills, AC, CD stereo, cruise control, and headrest speakers. The interior is tan leather and it has the tan tonneau cover. The soft top is black. There were only 3,997 of these made. This one starts and runs well, and all instrumentation (including the headrest speakers) works. The AC blows cold. Tires, including donut spare, are in great shape (not much wear on tires). Per our mechanic who checked this out, it drives solidly with no rattles. This is a very sporty and fun car to drive!
Current owner is the third owner, and knows the original and second owner. Winner will receive the original manuals, key and window sticker. There are a few cosmetic issues/dings (from the second owner, who was getting up in years and had issues judging distances). See pictures. Minor damage on the front left fender, a dent on the right rear panel (both pictured). This auction includes a replacement front fender, primed but not painted. There is also a small spider crack in the right rear taillight, and a small tear in the upper center of the rear plastic window (now taped). This is a great little sports car that just needs some minor body work to make it pristine. Enjoy it now with the top down, and later add value with your handiwork.
