1981 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class 380SL Description

For sale is my silver 1981 Mercedes Benz 380SL convertible.
The good: Starts right up every time. Very sporty v8, un to drive and gets a lot of attention on the road. Brand new tires with zero miles on them just put on the car. Brand new battery. Nice stereo. All original inside and under the hood. New spark plugs, ires, il, luids. The car is fine as is but could use a paint job and some upholstery/interior work. Soft top and removable hard top. I have clean carfax and clean/clear Texas title. Antique vehicle and the next hot collectible Mercedes SL. The car is located in the Dallas area and has been here its entire life as far as I know. No rust on the car, reat restoration candidate or just fix it up and enjoy as is.
The bad: AC needs new compressor and is not working. Soft top is torn. Odometer stopped working. Car is putting out a lot of smoke from the tailpipe after overfilling the oil during a recent oil change. Appears to be burning off excess oil. Selling because I don't have time to work on this project anymore with newborn in the house and never got around to restoring it. I would not call this car a project because it doesn't need much, ut it does need some work to get it running smooth.

Let me know if you have any questions. Available to assist with a shipping carrier, ut that will be at the buyers expense and left up to the buyer to schedule a pickup. I am happy to meet with the shipper and get it loaded up and on its way. Thanks
