1974 Mercedes w115 240D Diesel Sedan Car WVO
1974 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series Description
This is a nice running 1974 Mercedes Benz Body Style 115 Model 240D. It has a very nice running diesel engine and a smooth shifting automatic transmission. This car really is a joy to drive and goes down the road really nice. The car is equipped with a homemade WVO system which consists of a boat fuel tank on the floor of the back seat which holds the WVO. The WVO is pumped thru a separate filteration system then into a blockvalve thatwith the flick of a switch switches from burning diesel fuel to WVO. The system is not elaborate but it works well and is very easy to use.TheWVO part is completely optional and does not have to be used at all if you only want to burn diesel. The body of the car is in pretty good shape for the year, the car has been repainted at some point and the right front fendermust have been damaged at some point and bondo was used to fix it up. That fender is showing signs of age andcould be fixed againor replaced. The rest of the paint is in decent shape with a few scratches here and there as you can see in the pictures. The interior of the car is in pretty good shape as well, there are a couple small cuts in the passengers seat and the drivers side rear floor carpet was removed for some reason at some time. The radio powers on but does not tune into anystations, probably because the antenna is missing but I have not played with it to verify that is the only problem. Who really needs a radio when you havethe purr of a smooth diesel engine to listen too! Therewas no belt on the A/C pump when I purchased thecar and I have not investigated the reason why.The odometer reads 29685 but does not function properly so the true mileage is unknown. This car has not been run a lot lately and is not currently inspected or registered in NH. Overall this car is in great shape for the year. Its a blast to drive and a head turner. Not many of these old classics left around.NHdoes not issue titles tovehicles over 15 years old so it is being sold with a bill of sale. I do have a South Dakota title that you can have from a previous owner if thathelps with your state. Please ask any questions you have before bidding. The car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early if the car sells locally first but will only end the auction if it does sell locally. Bid to win, real low reserve on this car.
