1993 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series TE (Touring Estate) Description

I am the second owner of this very nice MB wagon. I bought it in 2010, had 93k miles. Was used in Palm Beach Florida as a winter car by first owner. That is how we used it as well, putting about 19k miles on it in 9 years. 7 passenger capacity with the rear facing back seat. Self-leveling suspension, excellent and bullet-proof MB text interior. Not leather, but much better. Interior shows no wear, no cracks, no seams ripping. Exterior is very good. Has one little rust spot on roof (see pic). that has not changed in 9 years. I'll put some POR 15 on it before shipping. All glass is MB, all electric windows and seats work. Has new A/C system and new cooling system done in 2013 at 104k miles. New muffler, gas tank sending unit, fairly new tires. All interior systems work except gas gage works intermittently, but warning light works fine. I changed sending unit, so gage must have an issue. Trip odometer does not work, but odometer does. Sunroof works fine. Tailgate had a self-locking feature that pulled it closed so that you didn't chip your nail polish by slamming it. That quit working recently, but gate still works fine. Has working cargo cover and pet gate, shown in pics.The car has great power and runs like new.No oil use, very quiet and smooth as silk MB 6. Power steering makes no noise and does not leak. I have had this sit for 5 or 6 months, and it starts immediately. No oil leaks from engine or trans.Has nice stereo playing cassettes. This car was built before MB started cutting corners. The fit and finish are first rate. Motor and trans are like new. This car used to do 0-60 under 8 seconds, and it is a heavy car. It still can smoke most of the lesser cars on the road today. Brakes work very well. It is surprisingly compact and nimble for a 7-passenger wagon. Puts behemoth SUV's in design shame.There is nothing about this car that I don't like. I would not hesitate driving it anywhere. With this mileage, it is barely broken in. Get on line and see how long people drive these. This is a fine automobile, probably still a better car than what MB is selling today.
