1985 Mercedes 300TD turbo diesel wagon 3rd seat only 203k miles gorgeous
1985 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series 300TD turbo diesel wagon Description
1985 was the last and best year Mercedes built the gorgeous W123 station wagon. They made them from 1978 until 1985 and only the last 5 years with the turbo version. These cars remind you of a time when things were made to last a lifetime and not just until next years model comes along. My Mercedes was finished in Barolo Red ( MB color code 540) with Palomino color MB-Tex interior. This is one of the most elegant color combinations and with the gorgeous paint i do get compliment, whenever i drive it.This car was mostly garaged and it shows. The body and the paint are in excellent condition. There are no dings or dents and the paint shines like on a much newer car. The interior is very clean. The seats are still firm, the carpets are clean and even the dashboard is still in wonderful condition. The wood panels are gorgeous and still shine. This wonderful wagon was ordered with the rare option of the 3rd row of seats with belts. You can transport 7 people in comfort and style. ( even though the last row of seats is not very comfortable for tall people... :) But if you do have kids they will always argu, who may sit all the way in the back. This 300td really stands ou, but the best thing about it is the way it drives. These cars started out with excellent built quality and my car has always been maintained really well. Just recently the brakes were completely re-done, the SLS suspension was serviced with new air-cells, the valves were adjusted and the fluids were changed. The air-conditioning was converted to the new style freon and it blows nice and cold.It always starts up right away and it has lots of power. The transmission shifts smooth through all the gears and you can comfortably cruise at 90mph while still getting 27 miles per gallon of diesel.Just last month i went on a 1000 mile drive without any problems at all. The fluids were changed afterwards.I would not hesitate to drive it across country on short notice and could not think of anything it needs.Preferably i would sell it to somebody local who could come out and see it. But i would also be willing to help with shipping arrangements or an airport pick up (LAX) for out of town winning bidders. Please have your funding in order and do all your "due diligence" BEFORE placing a bid. This is a wonderful, well taken care of classic Mercedes and will be sold "where is" and "as is" WITHOUT a warranty. It comes with the books, 2 keys and a clear CA title in my name. If you have any more questions or would like to come out and see i, please send me a note through Ebay and i will respond promptly. I did upload many more pictures as well.Thank you for looking at my auction. I am looking forward to an easy and pleasant transaction.
