1960 Mercury Colony Park wagon, station wagon, pro touring,
1960 Mercury colony park Description
You are bidding on a super rare 1960 Mercury Colony Park wagon. There were only 7411 colony parks made in 1960. This is a 9 passenger with 3rd row seat. This car was in california all its life. I bought a collection of two cars and a bunch of parts in 2014 out of LA and transported all the stuff to minnesota. So that is where the car is now and it will be at back to the 50's next weekend in Minneapolis.
Ok now about the car.The body is super solid minus just a few spots that have rust. The top of one 1/4 panel. the roof in a couple sections and the lower 1/4s behind the wheels. I have all the metal for this car and it does go with it.The back seats and the third row seat are very nice. I do have the original front seat but the one in there now was nicer so that's why it's in there. There is no carpet and the floor is very solid minus a few very small spots. It does run and drive fairly decent. It has a rear main seal leak and needs valve stem seals so it smokes when warmed up. The power steering is a little grippy and tight when you turn. I have a Mercury under the dash ac unit that will go with the car. It was a non air non ac car but had the roof rack. I did recently put dual exhaust under it as i planned to drive it a little. Went threw all the brakes also and put a front seal in behind the ps pump. it has a new radiator and water pump. I did an adapter and put a 4b carb on it and an electric fuel pump and fans. It also has American racing 18'' wheels 18*10 in the rear and 18*8 in the front. with like new tires. There are $2200.00 worth of wheels, adapters and tires on it. If you do not want it with the wheels and tires i can put stock steel wheels back on it and I will credit some money back.
If you have been looking for one of these cars you know how hard they are to find. I search regularly since i bought it looking for more and they are scarce and i have not seen one for sale in two and a half years since ive owned it. Nada on this car is $79,000 painted and mint. That is pretty wild for an old station wagon. This would be a great car for a resto mod or two restore to original. I wanted to do a Roadster shop frame in it with a boss 429.. Its just a badass wagon and has a look of its own.
I also have the car listed locally and reserve the right to end the auction at any time..Like i said it will be for sale at back to the 50's next weekend in minneapolis.
I have also have a very rare complete pair of Spot light/rear view mirrors for the car, drivers and pass side.. THEY DO NOT COME WITH IT and can be purchased separately
If you have any questions or want more pics please message me and i can send you pictures.
Also I require a Non Refundable payment of 1000.00 immediately via paypal after purchase. Car will need to be paid for with in 7 days via money wire, cashiers check or cash. I have the title in hand for it with no liens.I can also arrange shipping and help with that as i have a carrier near by and the car can sit at my business as long as needed after you purchase and pay if you want to come get it. I will also sell over seas. You will have to arrange all the shipping.
Good luck and thank youDan
