1970 Mercury Cyclone Spoiler Description

I have to many cars and I really need to thin the herd. I have two 70 Spoilers that is why I have decided to sell this car. Check my listing I also have a 1970 Torino GT that will be listed the same time this car is, so Thank You for looking.

This is a 1970 Mercury Cyclone Spoiler Drag Pak car. It hasthe 17C in the vin and the Marti report is included so you can check out it's history. I bought this car out of Alabama over 12 years ago and have been glad I did. I did a frame onrestoration on the car over the years and about everything is new or rebuilt with low miles. I had the car repainted it'soriginal color of Competition Green with white stripes. It is a nice driver quality paint job. The trim was removed and completely redone, striped and reanodized it turned out very well.

The interior is the rare black houndstooth that was redone when I bought the car. New carpet was installed and the dash was sent to Just Dashes and redone. The factory console is in very nice condition including the shifter. After market gauges was installed under the dash to have added insurance of what is going on under the hood. A new windshield was also installed at the time the car was painted. There is no bondo in the car, just a small amount of spot putty here and there to fix a ding or two.

The original motor was gone when I bought the car and it now is running a built 466. It is a C9VE block that was bore 30 over and running a 460 crank and Eagle rods and rod bolts. The heads are C8VE that have been reworked. The have been ported and polished and the exhaust humps have been grounded out. It is running a custom grounded cam with roller rocker and heavy duty springs. The exhaust is the expensive Hooker Super Comp ceramic coated header that runs into Flow Master 40's and out the back with factory looking exhaust tips. The whole exhaust is 3" aluminum piping and it let the motor breathe. It sounds like a big block Ford should. The original transmission has been rebuilt and beefed up. It has a shift kit installed and shifts crisp but not to jerky. The rear end has been rebuilt with new 3:89 gears, seals and bearing. The front end is rebuilt with new power steering pump, lines and power valve. New brake booster, rotors, calipers, padson the front and the back has new shoes, wheel cylinders, axle seals and bearings.

Like I said everything is new or rebuilt. This is a very rare car that has been redone. It is a nice driver quality car. It is a very strong car and will run like a bat out of he__. It has never been raced or to the track. It needs nothing I can think of and I am sure I will regret selling it butI do need the room. The underneath of the car has been painted black and there is no patches in the floorboards. It is a solid car. The bumpers have been rechromed and a reproduction spoiler was installed on the front. It has an expensive repo Motor Craft battery and new weather stripping was installed when painted. I am sure I am missing something, any questions just ask and Thanks for looking. Also, there is a you tube video of the car starting up and leaving a cruise in. I am not good with computer so I don't know the link. You tube and put in 1970 Mercury Cyclone Spoiler and it is the 7th video down.
