1969 Mercury Cougar XR-7 Description

1969 Mercury Cougar XR-7 Convertible#'s Matching 351 Windsor FMX Automatic TransmissionPower SteeringPower Disc BrakesPower TopConsoleBucket Seats"Eliminator Options"Custom Bluetooth sound system. One of 400 H Code XR7 Convertibles ever built! Very Rare!
This labor of love started out as a original rust free 19k mile XR-7 Convertible...then...all hell broke loose! The car was completely restored, and I do mean completely! Every nut, bolt, and piece of rubber was restored on this car.
It seems the checkbook was always open on this build! Media blasted body, weeks blocking the car out to be arrow straight, to thousands of dollars getting every piece of chrome replated, to the completely new interior, convertible top, every piece of rubber replaced. Over ten thousand was put into the completely rebuilt original drivetrain, every brake and fuel line has been replaced.
I even went with the Eleanor style wheels, Eliminator hood and spoiler. This car is just a drop dead gorgeous piece ofmachinery.
Everything is new or rebuilt or restored. This was a never ending project that is finally 100% complete. The car needs nothing, everything works like new, fits like a glove, and the car drives fantastic. It sounds menacing with SS exhaust and 2 chamberflow master exhaust.
I had this car built to my exacting specifications...just the way a 69 Cougar should look and drive. I have triple the money into this car as I will ever recoup.
This is a excellent opportunity for someone who wants a $50,000 show stopper for much less. The best part, the car was just completed and white glove delivered to me...the restoration maybe has 100 miles on it, and thats it.
My reason for selling is that this car was built for a family member that passed away before he could ever see the end result. The build quality is so damned good that there would be no reason to sell it, and financially, it will lose money any way I go about it, but the car represents a chapter of life closed, and there is no reason to keep it.
Some things in life are worth more than money...family, morals, and character come to mind...so therefore...I've decided to take the loss and let the car go.
I'm happy to share the 100's of restoration photos and have created a very special restoration album for the car...that will go to the new owner.
If you want a turn key car that will do anything you ask of it...and looks AWESOME! This car will fit the bill.
It should be noted that the car is a fresh restoration. That means the engine, trans, rear, brakes, interior, wheels, tires, belts, hoses, brakes, suspension all only have 100 miles on them. So, take it easy on her until she gets "broken in".
This is going to be the deal of the summer on eBay!
I'm advertising the car locally as well as on other sites, so...this auction may be ended in the event of a sale outside of eBay...or you could pick up the phone and call me at (630) 273-7595 and I can have this car to you faster than Amazon Prime! I have a Central Dispatch account and am happy to get this car to your door anywhere in the Country...at a wholesale cost.
I am merely a collector and not a Dealer, flipper, curbstoner, etc. This is a hobby and itshould be fun. This car would be a great way for you to start out the season.
I own a late model Lamborghini, and I've driven this car to the local Starbucks ahandful of times, and it gets far more attention....it has character, people are gravitated to this car. Ithink it is a excellent mix of "resto-mod and original" done to exacting standards.
I have clean and clear title to the car, will be hand delivered to the new owner or shipped via Fedex after payment is made.
Any and all inspections are welcome, however I think the 100's or restoration pictures tell the story better than anything.
Look at my feedback. I have a iron clad reputation for selling high quality collector cars out of my personal collection, and thats a hard thing to do...with 50 year old cars.
Car is for sale on other sites and auction will be removed in the event of a sale outside of eBay!
Call me at (630) 273-7595...I can have this to your door in a few days. I have a Central Dispatch account and can get you wholesale pricing on shipping!
Car is priced for a drama free sale. Youcouldn't reproduce this car for under $60,000.
