This very original 1963 Mercury S22 Comet Convertible has only had two owner's it's entire life. Recently owned by an 80 year old man that only used the car for parades, local car shows, and cruising with his grandchildren. There are only 23,880 miles. It has had one repaint of the original "Sultana" white approximately 25 years ago. It has been stored in a garage/barn for and the pictures I took for the auction are exactly how I rolled it out of the barn!
It appears to be mostly rust-free although there is a little paint bubbling around one of the wheel wells. The interior is all original and the dash is free of any cracks. It obviously going to need a good cleaning. This car starts right up and the transmission shifts through all the gears. It does have the Mercury "Merc-O-Matic" automatic transmission. It also has a power top. It's going to need a manifold gasket and a brake master cylinder, and convertible top. It comes with the original owner's manual, keys, jack, and spare tire. The chrome is in very good condition.
I have the reserve well below any of the collector car value guides and I will entertain any reasonable offers and end the auction early.
