Debuting in 1950, he TC-series was replaced by a slightly larger TD-series. This new design offered both left-hand-drive appointments and an independent front suspension for the first time. They also included smaller, ore tire-friendly 15” wheels and a wheel track that was 5 inches wider promising much better road handling! A Mark II Competition version was offered from the factory offering slightly larger SU H4 carburetion through a modified intake manifold, ood bulge to accommodate larger air cleaners, arger intake valves, win electric fuel pumps, pgraded Andrex suspension dampers, igher axle ratio, nd special Mark II exterior badging. This performance series was offered the entire model run through 1950-1953, nd became the standard power plant for the TF by 1954. Approximately 1,700 factory units left England over those 4 years making them exceptionally rare to find today!
